Dylan no doubt about it. We're in good hands with HH at backup now though. I dont think after what we saw today, knowing the starting D is pretty good already, its crazy to predict we're about to finally have a Bo Pelini type of year. Biggest issue was obviously field goals. Those points are gonna matter.

He is 100 legit. Say what you want. I seen every damn spring game the past 40 yrs....nothing like this ever. It means something. Combined with his history .it wasn't a fluke
  • They need Haarberg for goal line plays and third and long in the second half. It would balance out the offense so well.
  • "Desind runs" Tell me when was the last time having a runing QB payed off for us? They always get injured and/or are not able to provide the winni g drive. "Run to avoid pressure" bro all I need my QB to do is, be able to scramble to give his WR that extra 2-3 seconds to get open. Or to get 3-5 yards if nothing is open. I dont need him to go run full speed for 15-30 yards and hurt himself.

Yo. I rock with yall analysis. Way better than most. Even when I disagree, I see your point. Well done fellas

He's acting like Raiola has never been under pressure as a qb. The kid played at some of the best HS football teams in the country. He didn't get those stats in HS never being under any pressure.

For the style of offense that, at least, I think they want to run, Dylan is the clear favorite. Gary is right that this wasn't an indication that the coaches won't be required at some point to revert back to last year's playbook, but i agree with Gabe ( the Colorado trashing Texan) that QB designed run plays are not a focus, possibly not even in the current playbook. Hopefully, Haarberg stays because we need the depth, and with his experience, you never know.

Thanks, Gary. Gabe, thank you for knowing how to make a YouTube and introduce a guest.

Another thought: don't remember seeing any fumbles like we did last year. That's gotta be encouraging.

Raiola is gonna run....just like he did....out of bounds or get a few yards and slide. I think Haarberg is the perfect #2 and I'd get him into the game whenever it's possible in order to get Raiola off the field....hopefully we're successful enough to do that and keep everyone healthy. I still think we aim to redshirt Kaelin.

Raiola is for sure the guy HH looked most improved. And I feel confident with him as a backup. And I honestly think thereโ€™s instances where he comes in and runs some plays. We have the best QB room now than weโ€™ve had for the past 2 decades easily.
  • Haarberg looked much better in his passing at the spring game, that extra dynamic of qb run that Haarberg brings to the table can make things interesting. As was noted, several defensive starters weren't playing at the spring game so we don't know how Raiola reacts to pressure, I am guessing he will be fine. I think I will have to trust the coaches to make the right decision. Haarberg threw pretty well too, so bringing packages with Haarberg could make defenses think because of how fast he is. I do think they could also use some formations where both Haarberg and Raiola are on the field at the same tiem. of course this was very vanilla because it is the spring game.

Agree more with Gabe, Raiola was making throws the other guys weren't. That said it was like 7 on 7. I'm still skeptical Satterfield will use everyone to their fullest potential, he's still a so-so play caller. All in all just another scrimmage that doesn't reveal much.
