In reality, problems cannot exist without a perceiver, as circumstances aren’t troublesome without someone or something identifying them as such. So, if there’s nothing inherently problematic about reality, doesn’t that mean that we humans repeatedly (and on a grand scale) worry about problems that don’t even exist?

"Let people hold on to these: Manifest plainness, Embrace simplicity, Reduce selfishness, Have few desires." ~~Tao-te Ching, ch. 19 (translation by Wing-Tsit Chan)
  • I work a fairly difficult job (12 hour days, physical labor) and a co-worker asked me why I was always happy at work. I told her "Because, for me, complaining and being upset is harder than just being happy; I choose to be happy". That's not to say I don't have my moments. It gets to me sometimes and I might get upset or angry for a few minutes. The more I work on just accepting the things in my life that I encounter, the less those moments of anger happen. Eventually, I hope to train my mind to understand that I can choose peace and happiness in all circumstances and eliminate anger altogether.
  • When we believe our thoughts we suffer. When I question them I don’t ❤
  • One fundamental truth about the mind is that once you don't think about it it no longer matters

  • People may perceive problems differently, but we should still be sympathetic and supportive when someone has an experience that is a problem to them, but not to us eg breakdown of a marriage, death of a loved one, or loss of a job, for example. We need to see them seeing it as a problem as valid, and offer support, even if we don't know what that problem is like ourselves.

Our mind is an excellent servant and poor master. Meditate and you will learn to see through the mind. Remember that we all have the power to choose which thoughts to believe. -Much love from a growing YouTuber

For anyone who comes across this video who doesn’t resonate with this with all that has happened in your life: those who suffered immense tragedy, maybe victimized as a child, or victim of a crime or struggling financially, physically, still on the bottom of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, please know that a sense of peace does NOT have to be the place you have to achieve immediately. Honor your pain. Honor any occurances of injustice that has remained and allow your woes to be witnessed and expressed, THEN after you shed that sufficiently, watch this again to now shift your perspective. I see you. I feel you.

the part about endless problems is so true. i have to consciously look for the small successes that i forgot or didn't notice and remind myself to celebrate them for a while before being obsessed with the next problem again. funny how we're such problem-solvers that we never even stop to cheer about the things we solved and just go straight for another puzzle immediately

It took me a couple attempts at listening to this to finally grasp the message but wow it is so true. Just like your Wu Wei video (my favourite) it’s the same message - let problems solve themselves by changing our perception of them. I often see if I overanalyze I create even MORE problems for myself. Now I have a rule “If you don’t know what to do - do nothing”. Has changed my life in many ways, especially in dating. I find no matter what happens we always get through it & we become even closer in the process. Thank you as always Einzelganger🙏🏽✨

So accurate for me. I was at a new rock bottom a few days ago, but today I feel like that never even happened. It's been a huge mindset shift that saved me, my circumstances barely changed

This is very true, I'm so worried about my future life, That doesn't exist yet, and it's very true that my mindset has the fault and not the reality to be blamed for. I wish I can figure out life in none worried way.

You always say thank you for watching, so i gotta say thank you for making these videos and reminding me of the "right" way of thinking/living. You are one of the reasons, why i'm slowly but constantly changing into a better person, for me and my environment. So thanks again for your work, you're making the world a little bit wiser/better/more content.
