There is no secret as to why the Kongs and V-Rexes hated eachother. But there are pretty messed up reasons why. In this episode we will uncover the many reasons why this war turned out to be the most destructive war in Skull Island history, and the brutal instigators that made these two species fight to the death. • The 2005 Skull Island feels so much more fleshed out and like a real place. Jackson really did an exceptional job at world building.

Hot take: I think 2005 Skull Island is cooler than the Monsterverse one. It feels more like a real ecosystem with more "realistic" animals
  • Huh, wait... does that explain why the V-Rex pair was so persistent at chasing Ann, even when they already had another food source? To them, a human looks similar to a Kong's young?

Still one of the coolest designs in Movie History. Loved the vid guys!

It’s also worth mentioning that the specific Vestatosaurs shown in the movie are implied to be inbred, meaning that the V-Rexes themselves are on the brink of extinction too.

Fun fact- the shape of the V-rex's skull suggest their bites were particularly efficient for gripping and slowly crushing their prey! Animals with jaws that are highly angled relative to their jaw joint have weaker snapping bites, but because their teeth all touch simultaneously, they can grip and crush at maximum force for long periods of time without prey slipping out of their mouths or putting stress on weak points in their skull. (This is why blade-toothed theropods have straighter jaw margins than bone-crushing tyrannosaurs!) In real life, abelisaurs such as Carnotaurus had somewhat bulldog-like upturned snouts for this exact reason, but had much weaker skulls and more slicing-adapted teeth than V-Rex; putting the blunt force and sustained massive bite force together, a V-rex probably hunted through a mix of wrestling, crushing, and suffocation, letting them grab onto prey and refuse to let go until it's dead.

Wouldn't it be cool if someone made an animated "documentary" detailing the bizzare and amazing ecosystem of this Skull Island?
  • It's great to finally see some 2005 King Kong content. To me, this isn't a King Kong film, but THE King Kong film!
  • Here's an idea: What if The V Rexes manage to wiped out the entire Kong species before they could become a problem, and what if the island stopped breaking apart? How would the V Rex evolved up to this modern date as the Peter Jackson film was set in The Great Depression?

I absolutely love the Kong/V-Rex conflict. It feels the most realistic out of a lot of other monster grudges in the idea that they are more so just extremely territorial animals just having conflicts with each other; no different from what you would see on the plains of Africa with lions and hyenas. That and the ending outcome of the fighting, which would end in both species pretty much being doomed to die not by each other but by forces outside of their control... is both sad and realistic.

Honestly, that's one of the main reasons why I prefer this King Kong to Monsterverse. I wonder if one day GojiCenter will make us a video entitled "Crossover of the two Skull Islands".
  • Kinda surprised they’re weren’t any crocodiles at skull island. Imagine if Deinosuchus got the same super charged evolution growth the Trex to Vrex did. Crocs are already semi aquatic so a sinking island wouldn’t really be a problem.
  • To me the V-rexes and Skull Crawlers share the same aspects if you study both of them closely, both are reptiles who suited for the most dangerous island known to man, their are at the top of the food chain and both target Kong. The difference is that the V-Rex evolve through evolution like humans giving them more advantage to navigate small terrains and a stronger bite force while the Skull Crawlers can feed off radiation a substance the rexes will die off if they eat it in the monsterverse and a juvenile Skull Crawler is just as dangerous as a full grown V-Rex than a baby. It would be interesting if both of them were in a face off if a juvenile Skull Crawler face a full grown V-Rex to see who is the true Kong Killer and predator of Skull Island, what if the 2005 Kong can survive the monsterverse Skull Island or even better what if the 2005 Kong grew to the size of the monsterverse Kong and would he be a threat to Godzilla or result in the same fate.
  • Think there should be a video about the skull crawlers vs the V-Rex’s
  • @agente9988
Peter Jackson’s vision of skull island truly inspired me to create my own story about what if dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals never went extinct and continued to evolve into much more advanced and intelligent creatures better suited to survive the world’s present day conditions.
  • I always wonder what would have happened if the island hadn't started breaking apart. How the animals would differ from their counterparts since more space and resources were available.
  • Hey goji center I just wanted to say this channels inspired me in many different ways thanks for being a channel
  • Roses are red, violets are blue, It’s a great day when Goji Center uploads, Hopefully you think so too.
  • Kong 2005 is the best kong nobody can change my mind. This video proves it. “Kongs body was a living testament to what his life was all about.” Fire🔥
