I tried to get my indoor cat to watch this today, he knocked my coffee over and changed the channel. He needs a Job.

We got a cat to protect my wife’s garden. He achieved serial killer status in the first week. Always leaves me a trophy in the same spot.

Fun fact: The ancestors of housecats in Northern Africa began to hang around grain storages to feed on pests and essentially domesticated themselves into barn cats. We eventually became fond of them because they weren’t as dangerous as their big cousins and the pest control was very useful

I am employed by two cats. I work well beyond the normal 40 hours a week. I even, answer my bosses needs in the night. Right now, I am getting the evil eye from one of my bosses. Apparently I have to take him for a walk, even though we just got back and he forgot. It is really nice to see the tables turned. I hope they don't unionize.

Love these working cats. They do justice to correct the misperception that cats are lazy and useless.

I know Fozzy is great at his job, looks like he's never missed a meal

I can't believe King Fozzy is a working cat. Look at the size of that thing, LMAO. Absolute unit!
  • @RinpochesRose
Most people would not link the 2 words ‘CAT’ and ‘WORK’ together but this clearly shows they love having a job. 😻

I love that you keep them somewhere safe at night so they don’t get hit by cats or attacked by wild animals. That’s more than a lot of other people do
  • @DonutDoctor
Basically, just a bunch of mini lions and lionesses protecting you - sounds like heaven
  • Way superior to videos where people tease their cats for laughs. Your care and love for each one is inspiring. Thanks for sharing your treasures.
  • These cats may have “jobs” to do but you can tell they are loved and spoiled pets. Best of both worlds for kitties and their people

Love the video. We have two working cats. We don't own a farm, but we have a piece of land of 850 square meters on the water side close to the forest. Before we had the cats it was full of mice, moles, rats, mole rats and we even had a nest of pine martens in the shack. In winter most of the rodents would move into the house which was a nightmare especially in the cellar. After some reading and realising cats were domesticated as pest control, we decided to get some cats. Two brothers. We gave the cats a home base in the cellar of the house. It's where their seats are, and their toys. We also gave them access to the shack so they can get in by themselves. I trained them to do a morning walk each morning visiting the cellar of the shack (did it with them for weeks, now they do it without me). I taught them to come home when I whistle. Just start whistling when you give the food and eventually change the tune to something loud and they will come when you do so. I never was a cat person, I used to love dogs. But I'm blown away by how awesome these creatures are. The only rodents I see these days are ones that have been caught. No moles in the garden anymore (just rarely) and the pine martens decided to raise their children somewhere else where they don't get morning visits from cats. Fantastic animals.

I like how Fozzy has a watch on his right paw, he’s so dedicated.

At first I thought Chunk was the participation award cat, turns out he's the high achiever lol
  • I grew up on a farm, my dad always had cats to keep the rodent population down. He thought it was the safest way. Letting nature take it's course. The cats were amazing,

This is excellent. People need to recognize the role cats play for farms. Barn homes are great. They have a nice little home there too! Bless you for showing this!
  • @Dave-ti2ue
That's cool that you feed them. Never believed in starving them, thinking that'll make them hunt more.
