  • We are in the capital of India, and the second most populated city in the world. After Tokyo. And where there are a lot of people, there are also some who want to scam you. You’ll find the scammers all over the world. Scammers aside, New Delhi is one of those cities you should have on your list. If anyone has been there, let us know in the comments! Enjoy!

Scammers in India have taken call-center, online and Internet scams to a whole different level compared to the face to face underground scams that exist. They've elevated the "scams" beyond boundaries and limits.

The selling of the flowers is a genius idea, not begging, recycling something that would go to waste and making money. When you have little choice like they don’t, they’ve got to do something to survive
  • The fact that we get free documentaries on YouTube by Free Documentary is truly a gift. 👏👏👏
  • When poor people do it its called - scam When rich people do it its called - intelligence/Business
  • I am a proud Indian living in Delhi. Though there are mostly good people in most of Delhi, but all areas frequented by tourists are well reputed as heaven for scammers and hustlers. Only saving grace is they equally target INDIAN tourists as well.
  • I booked a room in an OYO hotel in Karol Bagh. It turned out to be a hovel sort of thing. When i spent a night and wanted to leave for a better accomodation the hotel management refused to give me the payment receipt and was intimidating me till I gave the hotel / lodging an excellent rating in front of them.😮. Delhi is so criminal compared to any other city of India. People seem ready to scam and trick and con you at every turn and one has to be paranoid alert all the time. A horrible city with a ghastly attitude.
  • I’ve watched many of these episodes but this one gave me chills. It wasn’t that people were willing to scam innocent people, as they say there’s a fool born every minute and someone willing to help them part with they’re money, it was that there didn’t seem to be an end to what was possible. This was true evil at work and I for one am glad you and your team are out there exposing this dark underbelly of corruption.

Being an Indian myself, even I got scammed in Delhi back in 2010. They target everyone foreign or Indian tourists.
  • I lived in delhi for 10 years, i agree with this documentary

Pen selling is not a scam bro....they are selling pens only for 10 rupees and it is a normal price for pen in india...

It’s heartbreaking to think, that young girl saying she has no parents, is telling the truth. Even if she is lying, there must be 1000’s that are alone. Fricking sad.
  • Your inherent reaction in holding the hand of the nearest child when crossing into a busy thoroughfare is a stark reality... 🇿🇦
  • @hil7850
I think calling flower selling a scam is misplaced. It's business simply. They are doing it for survival.
  • @RKBro-jr1ts
Just realised that fake doctors is a crisis in India, watched another different documentary exclusively on that
  • @bluebag2242
These scammers are everywhere. But, you show pictures of downtrodden people, who has nothing else to do. But, protecting the criminal doctors by blurring their faces. I was looking for scammers at high places, rather than the street people.
  • @abhishekgyani
Doctors giving medical certificates, not to fit fly is common everywhere in the world. This is not underworld work, it’s common in India. Begging is not scam, they are just asking money, if you not willing then don’t pay. Scamming is different from begging.
  • There is a huge difference between India and the tourist imagines it and Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Tourists think in terms of photographic opportunities such as Taj Mahal and Varanasi so they overlook the south which is far more cleaner, freer and full of natural beauty. For me it's Kerala every time.

I think at heart and in nature, Indian people are absolutely lovely and have alot of compassion. They are forced into this unethical and dangerous work because of the economic inequalities they endure.
