Judy is so poised and well spoken, I feel like I know her personally. She is also strikingly beautiful and always captures my full attention. Michael is always wonderful and I have always loved her as an actress since the Waltons
  • Micheal Learned has really carried her age well. Hard to believe she's over 80.

Michael created a character that made a lot of us feel loved. She is a joy. Thank you for this, Judy.

All I can say is the more I get to see Michael Learned as herself, the more I like her. What a wonderful interview. Thank you for sharing more of Ms. Learned with us. She is both a gift and a treat.

For those of us who desire family, but was not the chance in their lives to have one, the Waltons kind of took the place of the need and desire, watching your family, brought a sense of calmness and escapism, otherwise to a very ordinary life. Thank you for the great adventure!

I knew Michael's father in the "diplomatic service." What a brilliant gentleman he was.

Judy did a great job conveying what we all felt about Mama's character. She underrates the value she brought to the show although I understand the feeling of boredom. How powerful to so much with less. We are still in love with Michael Learned after all these years! Thank you Judy!

I founded a children’s bereavement center in York, PA called, Olivia’s House. It was named after Olivia Walton because she epitomized comfort during painful times. When children lose a loved one, our mission provides comfort at no cost. I watched your show my entire childhood with my grandma, and I related to MaryEllen the most. This was such a nice show. Thank you so much for all you both have given to our world! Twenty years after we began our mission, it seems the world needs the Waltons more now than ever. We now have grown to two centers within our community to care for children after a loss. Keep on doing what you are doing, and we, at Olivia’s House, will continue as well!❤

We have tickets to see Richard Thomas in To Kill a Mockingbird, and I cannot wait. Its going to be so awesome for them to come to our little town.
  • Michael was the heart of the Waltons. Very few people are so natural in a part on camera.
  • I love what they did with Olivia's character after she more or less went through the empty nest. She showed her strength throughout the show being a Mom and then went on to college, became a teacher. If only we all had that kind of strength to move through life graciously. You Michael portrayed the character very well!

So enjoyable. Both episodes. I could easily see this have been 3 or 4 episodes just talking shop and life.

This was a true bona-fide treat!!! Love both of you ladies. Beautiful women. I grew up with the Waltons and I dearly loved that show

Loved the interviews with Michael Learned. It's true, her presence alone was so endearing and comforting when viewing the show. I sure missed her when she left. The Waltons were like an extension of my family.

Speaking of acting without saying a word, I just watched the episode when Olivia borrows the bicycle from Ike's store. That scene of her riding through the woods is so touching! To see a woman taking the time to do a little something for herself with the joy and freedom it brings if only for an afternoon. Beautiful!

I always thought the mother on the Walton's and the mother on Little house were SO naturally beautiful and that still holds true today. Stunning!

Michael was in an episode of Gunsmoke, before the Waltons and I fell for her like a rock.
