Meadowlark (from 'The Baker's Wife') Supercut

Published 2017-12-13
This supercut was unashamedly inspired by Theater Mania's series of them (please bring it back!!)

-------

Many theatre actors label Meadowlark as their signature song, but over the years a lot of other actors have put their own spin on it. And I do mean...a LOT. So much so that you can make a damn compilation about it and still have to make some painful cuts (some people like Judy Kuhn and Stephanie J Block only had audio)! But of course, the one that started it all was Patti LuPone, and that's where we start and end Genevieve's favourite story.

Yes, I'm aware there's a lot of varying tempo's and key's and it drives me crazy too. I tried to keep it as consistent as possible, but in some cases there were just people who fit a particular line best in my mind.

P.S - there's a certain pairing I couldn't resist on making while editing this video. For reasons. If you figure out which one it was, then you deserve an award.
