🚀 Ready to uncover the $4.6M secret behind Ali Abdal's course creation success? Let's dive deep into the mine of gold that is YouTube growth and demystify the world of online courses! 🌟

Like many of you, I've felt both the frustration of "Oh, the frustration!" and the thrill of discovering new strategies for YouTube algorithm mastery. I decided to test the waters myself and see if these courses are truly the path to monetization glory or just a well-disguised scam. In this video, I'm sharing my unfiltered thoughts on YouTube gurus and their pricey promises. 🕵️‍♂️

🎬 From Film Booth’s $800 thumbnail magic to Think Media's 'revolutionary' 7R formula, we're dissecting the value vs. the veneer of these courses. And, of course, we're taking a hard look at Ali Abdal's Part-Time YouTuber Academy to see if it's really the key to unlocking YouTube success or just another cog in the 'productivity cult'.

My personal experience? Frustrating at times, enlightening at others. This is so frustrating, right? But I'm here not just to rant but to educate. 📚 So, whether you're chasing subscribers, views, or that elusive monetization, join me on this journey of discovery and decision-making.

My view on courses. You’re not paying for the information, you’re paying for the aggregation of the information. All the information is out there, but relevant information neatly packaged to get you to where you need to be faster. Eating at restaurants, valet, dry cleaning are all things we can do for ourselves but yet these industries bring in hundreds of millions. Convenience has a price.

When there's a gold rush, often the most lucrative business is the person selling the pickaxes and shovels. Not in the actual mining.

I love the last point “Just admit that I did not take any action”. It’s all about you. Thank you for this precious advice.

I kind of have a love/ hate relationship with a lot of youtube advice channels and videos. Like maybe there are some good pointers but the advice often feels vague and like saying a lot without saying anything at all. I'm not too sure if I'd ever invest in a course. Thanks for this super interesting video 😊

Many of these channels and guys recycle content and share the same and the same with different thumbnails. In some way they help, but I think the REAL LEARNING comes from TRIAL AND ERROR. The creativity, and what is inside you to share NOBODY WILL TEACH YOU. You can copy haha but long term, content, ideas, art, need to come from you. Keep sharing POSITIVE CONTENT ! Enough trash around! Thank you Kevin :)

    Your ending is powerful!!!

Perfect, you're finally doing longer videos Kevin, great one mate! from David in Sydney

This is inspiring, Kevin! I like how you analyse with real life examples of your own. It's interesting how you suggested that when a price is set too low, people might not take it seriously. That made me think why learning something could be so expensive! I somehow think when you offered free service, sometimes some people might feel shy to take it rather than thinking your course isn't worth it, otherwise they wouldn't have followed your channel. This video has inspired me on how I could start and promote my own classes in the near future. The more I think, the more I see YT as a platform for many opportunities. Thank you! Keep up your good work!

I'm in the middle of creating my first course. This was really helpful. Thanks for sharing

Good stuff man, I am always looking for the differences between these guys. A lot of "how to youtube" stuff is generic common sense, so the subtle differences is what I look for to gain value... BTW, I changed the font on the video I posted today after you mentioned fonts 😊
  • @Toney27
nice editing on this vid🔥Keep up the great work kevin🙏🏾

You are right. Everything is free on the web. It’s about you having the time to learn.

I loved the story at the end about the man who posted the blog everyday and now he’s a millionaire. You have a very bright future because I can see that like him you are checking all the boxes on your journey now. Instead of being sour you have learned and you are teaching others. God bless you. I subscribed and a year or so from now I know you’ll have at least 100k subscribers, or be successful in whatever you’re doing.

I completely agree! Everything is all on the internet but having that accountability that you purchased something really expensive is what gets people taking action. We could probably learn a whole degree in psychology if we know where to look but in university, you're paying for the support and accountability that you should show up or you'll fail 😊 Also low pricing make it look low quality and you're much more likely to get bad testimonials. Love the video!

Well. That was food for thought. My take on courses in general has been. Don't spend on something that's not making money already. That includes facebook ads. Playlist services. Etc. However I perked up when you mentioned your own One on One consultation. Reasonable price to get some individual pointers. Still contemplating it in this moment. I have been growing my channel for over a decade, but despite exceeding the subscriber requirement. I am still shy on watch time by like 800 hours. I have reservations about memberships and super chats and the like. I am honestly trying to get " Organic " growth. In the last year I have actually seen growth that made me double down on watching the creators you talked about and trying to implement what I have learned as I continue to create more videos. From the " Free " how to videos posted. Yours included. ( I find you much more palatable and genuine. ) With all that said. This re affirmed my thoughts on the courses that cost thousands of dollars. That's a big pass for me. Every bullet point you listed. Is something I watched numerous times at nauseam. I still have tons of questions that need individual answers from an educated and objective point of view. I appreciate you posting this and for being so .. Honest about it. Kudos.

I'm an ethusiast then. it's basically outsourcing all the research from one content creator instead of me browsing endlessly and trying to navigate the nuances of youtube. You're right, some may seem like a common sense but it's actually not so common if you're just starting. Thank you for reviewing a review :P
  • @RomonaFosterDC
Really good. I'm at the point where I stopped purchasing courses and started creating. My membership is up and running. I'm working on a book and courses. I had to stop watching and start doing. Thanks, Kevin!
