the devs said they knew about the billboard glitches before release and left them in, they dont plan on patching it out :)

This video feels like you went to your classmate's house after school and he's showing you his favorite game along with all the stuff he googled the day before. I love it

Another good piece of tech is instead of jumping on to a rail from far away, if you get right next to what you want to grind then jump you'll snap onto the railing, making for a quicker and cleaner transition that helps keep momentum. Another thing I started doing for style is sliding under certain rails. It's pretty cool looking to go from a manual or grind, jump/put your ride away, slide under, then either hop back up immediately after passing under to snap to the rail or just get a little more distance to jump/bring your ride back out. It just feels so smooth to do anything in this game and I'm still enjoying just skating around 4 weeks later.

The carpet also resets your manual if you’re on your vehicle. If you go off the carpet and back on your manual meter refills fully

About the low jump after a grind, it isn’t just for getting to the ground quicker. It keeps your momentum more than a normal jump. Normal jumps off of grinds sorta limit your speed by a set amount. It also works on wallrides! So if you have a high speed, do the low jump to keep more momentum. You can also just fall off the end of the rail, and you won’t lose any momentum. This is very useful if you’ve done the wallride speed exploit, because a normal grind jump will end the speed it gives you

glad i knew all these, for once i feel like up to date on a games tech

This covers most of the tech, but there is one thing you missed. If you do a super trick while on foot, or sliding, you dash forwards and breakdance, reseting your slide metor in the process. This can be used to go upstairs without ending your combo. And (mercifully) the combo doesn't officially end untill your fully on foot, so if you start to go upstairs, and your character automatically puts there skating object of choice away, just quickly hold the slide button and use a special trick to keep the conbo going. but you may have to use it two or three times with bigger staircases. Great for vertical places like Millennium Mall.

The wallride speed boost thing is called goonriding
-
The low hop is useful if you are on a rail and there is a second rail beside you that you want to move onto.

team reptile taught me how to love again

great video. a really quick way i've found to get points is to do a grinding boost trick, immediately cancel it with a jump, then instantly do an air dash, followed by an air boost trick, which lands immediately back onto the rail. it lets you do very rapid boost tricks, the points are insane

I found if you grind down a pole, sometimes you'll handplant at the bottom with the pole clipping through you.
-
You have to on fooot ground boost trick up stairs to not drop your combo
-
I see you sneaky little slopper...

I love this game but i don’t think they balanced the momentum pretty well, you lose speed when doing tricks on rails and even boost tricks don’t help that much if you do them on the ground… it’s definitely a great combo system but you don’t feel as fast compared to JSRF

The only thing I want is more hand combat 🥲 other than that the game is close to perfect
