I know that it is an extremely personal choice, Phil, but I would a hundred times rather have that farmhouse and its outbuildings than your chateau. What a beautiful place!

Has it got potential? You're kidding, right? ❤ Loads of potential! And so close to work. What an opportunity for a fresh start!
  • @Chaedron1
That is a beautiful property and a good deal. But if you aren't immediately in love with it then it isn't the right place.

Make a fresh start and take a leap of faith.

I love it! And no water rats! You might enjoy less upkeep and more homey
  • I think you’ll never be bored wherever you are Phil. You always have your own projects & you are always kindly helping others!

I think the Chateau holds too many sad memories. A move may be the very thing he needs to move on with the changes he wants to make. He's such a sweet heart. Still got the Car Workshop to keep him occupied!

That farmhouse and buildings is absolutely adorable. I can’t believe how affordable it is!

I say go for it! New beginnings. Perfectly batchlor pad with just enough room with the right amount of "projects" to keep you busy.

I think that smaller property would be perfect for you! You'd never run out of things to do, the goals you'd set would be way more easily attained, and while I love your chateau, you do still seem overwhelmed with all that it needs, and honestly, without help, which you never ask for, you'll never get it done. You wouldn't feel quite so overwhelmed with a smaller project like that one, and there'd still be so many things to do to keep you busy! You'd be able to walk to the bar...there's your health help lol...there's room for your outdoor events, and oh man, I see so much more potential there! I think you should seriously consider it!

The way you are hesitating says it all. It is beautiful though.

I love the that house, out buildings, and property!!! Sell the chateau and move!!!!

It would relieve a lot of pressure on you. It's in such lovely area. A fresh start, why not? Do it....be bold, be brave....😊

it's a lovely property Phil with probably a lot more to work on then you think - close to the bar, a workshop - a way to uncomplicate your life - it doesn't have to be your forever home but a great interim place.
  • @sorcha259
BUY IT!! it’s an investment and a stunning property….
  • @mizzivory3510
I love that farmhouse! Not elegant like the Chateau, but it's very charming. Loads of open space and your own barn/hanger. I'm sure you could refurbish the inside to your liking. Is it closer to the bar? Might be worth your relocating.
  • It's a lovely building but if you're having doubts then it's not for you, just don't let Billy see it lol

My concerns would be: Being that close to the road. It's a lot more noise and fumes. How would your darling doggie interact with the livestock? You would never escape the smell of cow dung, which also draws a TON of flies.

I think I would be seriously leaning toward a new start in a new home. It looks like a great place.
