The Ballad of Buster Scruggs was damn good. When I feel down I gotta watch the first story with Scruggs in it - it just picks me right up. :)

Godless is a must see and is simply brilliant.

I might shuffle around that deck a bit in terms of what films are more rightfully deserving of their placement, but accumulatively, I'd say you've got the top ten correct. It might not fall in line with what is traditionally called a western, though it strongly reflects some of that aesthetic, but 1923 was impressive. Same for 1883. It's not Netflix related but for Western fans, they may provide a welcomed treat to the palate.

Thank you for your time and posting. Agree, Godless (2017) was incredible. IMO, Michelle Dockery made that movie. I'll check out Old Henry (2021). Won't see News of the World (2020), with Tom Hanks, it will just be a watered-down Western. Seen the rest. Now, what about Cowboys and Aliens (2011)? Just kidding, it was a good ramp. Too many great westerns to mention, but Shane (1953) is probably my favorite that I can think of. Thanks again.
