Bruce Wayne confronts Alfred Pennyworth in the hospital about the truth behind his parents' deaths. After learning from Falcone that his father had a man killed, Bruce grapples with the realization that Thomas Wayne may not have been a good man. Alfred maintains that Thomas simply wanted to protect Bruce's mother, and was distraught at how Falcone had carried out his wish. Thomas planned to confess, but it remains unclear whether he and Martha were murdered by Falcone as a result.

  • Andy gives us a masterclass in acting in this scene. Guy is stuck lying in bed, he only has his face to emote with and he just absolutly kills it. Every layer of emotion Alfred goes through in this scene from relief, hurt, anger, joy, you can see reflected through his eyes. And credit to Robert as well, playing this shell of a man whose spent a lifetime trying to burry his emotions, now having those emotions try to rise and break through his barrier. A key example of how excellent this movie is and really shoudl be the gold standard for what modern superhero films should strive to be.

I love how they didn't outrightly confirmed who killed the waynes in the alley and kept it mystery.

You can really feel the emotion in this scene from Rob and Andy. This is yet another great depiction of their relationship.
  • Saw the batman with some friends in theater and this scene made me tear up and my friend started to cry. Such a good movie.

I was worried about them going the full "Bad Waynes" route so this subversion about it being a a desperate and botched attempt to help those Thomas loved was great.

Really this is the gold standard of modern day comic book movies matt reeves was very successful in delivering the emotions on screen when i watched this movie on big screen i felt every single emotion that matt has trying to make us feel like this scene and the selena and falcone's relation. without telling a word, this was brilliant

A touching moment between Bruce and Alfred from any incarnation is always a top tier scene stealer. Even if the story is not strong enough, this will boost it up with massive points!
