It snowed 22" February 12th - 13th 2014 in Roanoke, Va. I had to do something with the snow. A giant igloo was built. We worked about 3 to 5 hours a day for 4 days. This is the final time lapse video. Shot with an iPhone 4S and the Timelapse App.

*The igloo wasn't completed for fear of the ceiling falling in on unsuspecting visitors inside the structure. The blocks weighed about 50 pounds each. During the next big snow I hope to fully complete a similar sized igloo.*

lol i like how it started with one guy and nobody gave a shit, then all the neighbors and the rest of his family started showing up and helping as they realized how cool it was.

There's no way they could have done this with such primitive technology; it must have been aliens.

I love it when the rest of the family join in when you're doing something cool.

haha growing up in Canada I am quite familiar with how quickly the jacket comes off shovelling a bunch of snow ;)

He isn't wearing a coat, isn't he cold? Did anyone else notice that??
  • I grew up in Florida. So, I never got to play in the snow. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your eyes for a few minutes.

the man started building his igloo for hours and hours, he worked so hard on his own with no help..then as soon as it started to actually look like something everyone is suddenly apart of it..and when it's all done all of a sudden “it's our thing”...."it was our idea." ppf humans.
  • I love how you guys are so determined to do this and I appreciate that you took the time to make this a clue and record it for our entertainment. I love you all ☺️😘😍😊
  • I wish it snowed in Arizona... I only have two seasons: hot and slightly less hot. :/

6:50 just being able to see the skyline in the car reflection was nice
  • Easily the best part of this video is the sense of community. It's awesome to see people of all ages just stop by and be excited.

My sisters and I built a small igloo after the blizzard of 1967 in Chicago. As it melted slightly and collapsed in the middle it turned into a tall ice throne. It was fun to sit up there and survey our vast holdings! LOL!
