  • 15:01 You said "...worst thing that can happen..." when it's clearly NOT the worst thing. It's a lot closer to the 'second-best thing' and the "worst thing that can happen" in most situations is gravely bad. "Sure you should ask her out. What's the worst that can happen, she says no?" No, something in vicinity of 'worst' is that her crazy ex identifies you as the person standing in the way of their relationship with their one true love and soulmate and decides to puncture your brake lines right before your trip to take your grandmother and niece to visit your brother and his family up in the mountains. Then your brakes fail down a steep grade, you crash into a bus full of nuns which catches on fire, your niece and grandmother expire over the next 6 painful weeks in hospital, you're paralyzed from the neck down and your whole family blames you for the death and destruction caused by the wreck.
  • Dave is increasingly showing as quiet efficient workshop legend 🏆- keep that guy happy with new toolboxes and doughnuts.
  • @RANGUIDRY
I just love the Eagle screech Ray...HAPPY FOURTH!
  • Greg from northern Michigan. Another Almond Joy moment ! Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. Thank God for magnetic pickup sticks and push button claws. Love your channel and content, and positive Can Ddo attitude ! Same thing goes for the Wife Unit too !

For those of the viewers of this video who have never over medicated them selves, Ray walking around in fish eye mode is the feeling of over medication.
  • You always gotta be careful with the tip and you must get comfortable in the hole that you're working in...! Wisdom straight from Ray...!!!
  • @basbass429
You are setting really good example for safety. Always double check before starting/driving/reversing that no-one is in harms way.
  • Excellent presentation. Thank you. As an original owner of a 2004 LLY with 320,000, I appreciate seeing your full thoughts and process on this one.
  • Good Mechanics Are NEVER LAZY, It's the ones that don't care about their Job that are the problem 😢
  • @RickJohnson
6:30 Great to see Dave's shiny new toolbox already being put to good use! The best gifts are the ones that are appreciated through regular use.

LMFAO! The Eagle, "Kaw!" after describing Fahrenheit is hilarious! I love all your silly antics, "Poppen' Z Hood" "Gravity" "Nice & Shiney" "That is NOT Good" "Everything's a Hammer" The Brake Clean Introduction and eventual exit. 😂😂😂

I chuckle every time I see your channel. I recently retired, my company had/has a fleet mechanic named Ray,,, we've called him Rainman Ray for over a decade. Some people refer to him in an abbreviated way as Ray-Ray.
  • This one takes me way back to 1982 had a Chevy diesel crew cab that the glow plug controller would constantly fail and not cycle the glow plugs off this burning up glow plugs. Spent a small fortune replacing glow plugs and controllers on that truck. Then took it with me to Hawaii where it never got cold enough to need the glow plugs. Haha problem solved.
  • I had a 1983 Isuzu P'Up that had a 4-cylinder Diesel engine. It got over 60 MPG, and ran forever! I always carried a couple spare glow plugs, just in case, LOL! I miss that little truck... The main reason I got it, was because the engine they used, was the same engines used in the Thermo King reefer unit. Which meant, that if I broke down anywhere, basically any truck stop with a garage could work on it.

Well firstly, I love when I see you and dave double team a job. If yall arent swamped or there's a rush on a particular vehicle, its damn good to have that help. I dont know if shops normally do that or not though so maybe its just new to me seeing how a shop runs. But the fact you'd feel bad sticking him with the harder job, even tho you're the one paying him to work there is really telling of what kind of person you are. Just straight up honest. I wish I had a shop like yours around where I live in Houston. I've been screwed over by most of em when it comes to work I cant do safely in my driveway. Thanks for being a good mechanic Ray.
