Hello all,
Welcome to an Australian model railway exhibition video. This video is also an over-the-border special, capturing one of Australia's largest exhibitions. Today we take a look at the suitably titled "Great Train Show" at the Rosehill Racecourse, NSW. This is the first of three videos covering it. The exhibition hosted 91 exhibitors that were broken up into operational layouts, displays, manufacturers, traders and demonstrations. The exhibition is operated by the Epping Model Railway Club annually at the Rosehill grounds. With this being a NSW exhibition, rather than our usual Victorian layouts, most of the Australian layouts were NSW themed. A few layouts have been seen before as they have visited our Victorian shows, but a good majority are making their debut on this channel.
Unlike the Victorian exhibitions, the majority of layouts depicted Australian settings as a small handful displayed American, British and German eras.
Due to the size of the exhibition, this isn't a comprehensive coverage video, and although we do attempt to capture as many of the displays as possible, a large number didn’t make it in. A list of these will be shown in the description of our third part.
In this part we capture nine of the operational layouts that were on show. These had the themes of Australian and British eras. A few of the layouts in this video have been featured in previous videos as they have visited some Victorian exhibitions.

The Great Train Show is an annual model railway exhibition run by the Epping Model Railway Club. The exhibition is held at the Rosehill Racecourse Grand Pavilion and is one of the largest exhibition's in Australia. They feature a large variety of layouts, traders and demonstrations.
