Everyone in China knows the 'air walking' kung fu technique - which allows them to reach the highest books in this library!

If you're wondering how people reach the books, the unreachable ones are fake. If you pause at 0:21, you can see the extreme contrast in color between the books on the two shelves. The bottom ones are actual books and vibrant in color, the above ones are actually just painted on to the wall and if you look closely, you'll see there actually isn't any books there at all. (Look how far the books stick out on the bottom shelf and compare to one of the top shelves). If there isn't a red tag on the shelf, it's not real. Even the steps in the beginning of the video have no books on them, just painted on background (otherwise people would be kicking books all day).

Its great really but i got a question. How are you supposed to reach the shellfs on the roof? Or are they just there only for aesthetics?

I think all the censored books are placed at the ceiling

Only problem is every book in this library must be approved by the Chinese government.

China's obsession with futuristic visions and bionic design..

I was wondering how is that architecturally possible to be having a nook isle as the ceiling overlooking the floor. I figure nuh, it's easy with the use of steel structured roof and ceiling. Great design by the way 💙💙💙
  • Marvellous !!! Kudos to the artisans and the people who laboured hard to bring up such a library in China-------
  • Very beautiful. If you could add a drone librarian to pick up the highest books, then the future is already here!
