    I love how when Po looked at the scroll, he said "it's empty". He saw a container waiting to be filled up. When TaiLung looked at the scroll, he said "it's nothing". He saw something that had no value.

    The symbolism was insane too. All he had to do was accept and believe Po is the dragon warrior and train him into who he needed to be. Similar to the peach tree, he cant change the fact it is a peach seed but it will never grow into a peach tree unless he takes care of it

    Out of all the villains in the Kung Fu Panda franchise Tai Lung was my favorite, voiced by Ian McShane who was in the John Wick series a.k.a {Winston}
  • "All I ever did, I did to make you proud." Still pokes my heart man. Tai Lung worked so hard, for so many years, to be good enough for the one person he could call a father, with the promise he'd be the dragon warrior. But in the end, when Oogway decided against it, and despite all of those years of painful training and hope, Shifu easily accepted the outcome. He did not stick up for his own son despite all the time put into training Tai Lung to be someone great. I cant exactly blame Tai Lung for his anger. Destroying the valley was not good, but he clearly was put through a LOT of stuff because he was led to believe he could be something he was never going to be. And then during that moment of helplessness, when he was told he couldnt be that something, Shifu did not make any effort to reason with Oogway even though Tai Lung was his adopted child....

    I like how everyone was so mean to Po, but looking back at the furious five’s stories they should remember from where they came from and how they started. Oogway was so chill with Po explaining him to not worry, it will only get better later. He was right. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it’s called the present.”

    The Tai Lung escape scene gave me chills wen i first watched it as a kid i was legit scared of him 😂

    “Shi fu taught you well, but he didn’t teach you everything.” Bro was so cold
  • my absolute FAVORITE part of this movie is how Tai Lung escaped: with a feather from the messenger that MASTER SHIFU SENT. if he had only believed in Oogway's words and trusted that Tai Lung would escape somehow, HE PROBABLY WOULDNT HAVE. but because Shifu was so scared, he sent the poor bird there anyway and because of that simple mistake, HE ended up being the one to release his former prodigious pupil

    The Shifu vs. Tai Lung fight honestly goes so hard. The sense of finality and emotional weight. The amazing shots, choreography and colors, along with great deliveries by the VAs. And that brief moment when Tai Lung is genuinely touched by Shifu's apology always gets me teary-eyed. Tai Lung is a great and tragic character who honestly deserved better. Some people have speculated that the 4th movie is going to be Tai Lung's redemption arc and I really hope that's true. The 3rd movie felt like a really good place to end the franchise, so when I heard that they were making a 4th one I feared that it would just be a cash grab that didn't add anything to the series. But exploring more of Tai Lung's character could honestly be a really good addition to the series, so I hope the rumors are right.
  • Fun fact about Tigress regarding her teaching from Shifu: She was dangerously powerful, could splinter wood just by tapping on it. Shifu, having dealt with Tai Lung, showed her less affection because he felt she would become like him if Shifu raised her like his own child and not just a student.

    This movie was so good, the Chinese Government launced an investigative committee to figure out why American Studios were making better films about Chinese Culture than Chinese cinema. I'm not sure what the finding's where, but I have to assume Jack Black had something to do with it.

    Tai Lung is such a tragic character. His main purpose wasn't one he chose but one Shifu forced upon him. The name Shifu named him once adopted symbolized it, "Tai Lung translates to "Great Dragon". Tai Lung just needed his father's approval and guidance and not once did he get it. Shifu only apologized to Tai Lung when he was forced to, not once in all the years Tai Lung was imprisoned.

    Po sees his reflection in the scroll: "It's blank." Tai Lung sees his reflection in the scroll: "It's nothing."

    This movie had no expectations when it was first released and ended up becoming insanely successful. I'm really glad it did because it's without a doubt one of the best animated movies of all time.

    You guys are some of the only the only ones I've watched react to this that seemed to understand what Po's "I'm not hungry." line signified, so props to you all on that!

    If y’all didn’t notice master Shifu didn’t smile in the movie except the flash back and after training Po this shows that he finally doesn’t have regrets about what he created(trained)
  • Y’all are in for a real treat with KFP 2. The story, fight scenes and overall quality levels up from an already amazing movie to something one in a million
  • If Uguay had let Tai Lung have the dragon scroll, he would have lost his shit upon seeing it was blank.
