A very old and broken gumball machine restoartion. I bought the gumball machine on ebay for 15€. The machine stood for years by the sea on the North Sea in Germany. The plastic container was burned. The color was already chipping.
I have restored the complete gumball machine. Even the smallest parts have been machined. What I have done. Metal parts powder-coated, ground, filled, polished, machined on the lathe, nickel-plated. Parts that were missing were made new. It was a lot of work to recreate the gumball machine. But it was worth it, the result looks fantastic.

In the video I didn't clearly show what's going on with the plastic container. I bought this new because the old one couldn't be restored. It was just too badly damaged

Who else is watching this while in bed about to fall asleep
  • This guy is so good he could restore the relationship between me and my parents.

It’s amazing how he knows where every part goes after he takes the things apart

The attention to detail is inhuman. Even refinishing the metal blemishes that otherwise wouldn't even be seen. The pinnacle of restoration mastery. I know you are proud of your work, and the master who trained you is also. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Even as a little kid, I strongly believed these machines to be unsafe, unsanitary, and highly susceptible to dangerous tampering. You've done a great job with this restoration--thank you for sharing.
  • Incredible work! I especially love how you can fabricate so many parts that need replacing. In this case the springs (feathers) and top screw!
  • Such incredible & wonderful restoring of a fun, classic, neat machine that will never go out of style!! It’s wonderful, brilliant people like you who truly bring light & joy back into our lives and hearts. Thank you so much for restoring this iconic classic!!

The amount of detail you put into restorations is insane. Even down to polishing a nut that will never be seen. Amazing!

Those paint jobs are just insane! I love old fashioned gum ball machines. You restored this one amazingly! Wow you are so talented, aside from everything cool, I was impressed even to watch you make that screw!
  • @potoole
It can't often be said, that this was a phenomenal restoration. There are so many people on YouTube who have no idea what they're doing, this was absolutely magic. And so very well done. Probably my 4th or 5th time watching it it's a real pleasure to see somebody who's a master at work.
  • @hansdegeytere
I believe this is a Brabo machine (Belgian, made in ANtwerp, named after the famous Brabo legend). This machine is from the 70's, on later models plastic was more used instead of metal for some parts. The "screw"on top was originally a lock screw, so you could only unscrew it with a key. These machined used to be in supermarkets. I have the quad version of it, on a stand. Nice restauration !

Imagine if these things could talk they’d say “Thanks doc, I feel young and alive again! I haven’t felt this good in decades.”

Best grandpa EVER I'm sure! Grandkids must love the beautifully restored gumball machine when they visit. Such talent... 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻
  • That went from "throw that away" to Food Quality gumball machine!!! Better than new!!! Well done MW Restoration.
  • I love restoration videos so many amazing vintage things get thrown out because it no longer works but i love that people are taking the time to restore them and reduce wastage
  • @danjordan1979
This isn't a restoration! It's far better than it was when it was new. 😲 Utterly magnificent. 👍👍
  • @OdaNobunaga89
Man, the nostalgia is strong in this one. Loved those when I was a kid in the 90s, it always felt like a little 'adventure' getting something out of those machines.
  • Absolutely beautifull! That paint job was fantastic! I enjoy watching new parts being machined. What a work of art.
