And every time I heard someone (including yourself) say: “Michigan hasn’t faced an offense like Washington all year”, I thought to myself: “Washington hasn’t faced a defense like Michigan all year”.
-
No Penix was sacked once. But the 4 man rush was very effective.
-
Michigan grad, fan and season ticket holder here. Hats off to Washington onf a hard fought game! I was concerned Michael Penix Jr. was badly injured in the game and hope he's ok. I wish him well at the next level!
-
Michigan fan here. Much respect for Michael Penix. He played through a lot pain for his team. We had a lot of respect for his arm and played accordingly. Michigan defense won this championship.
-
Michigan man and fan here. Just wanted to say congrats on a great season. You have a tough team. We were just better tonight. Welcome to the Big10 and let’s keep sticking it to the SEC.
-
Tough game for UW. UM ground game came out on fire. The 2nd and 3rd quarters where pretty even. Then UM defense took over in the 4th quarter. They battered and bruised UW down the stretch. Hats off to UM. They played the game on their terms.
-
Michigan been doing this all season. Glad you finally got to watch it
-
Michigan fan. Mad props to Washington for a hard fought game. Those boys are tough. No shame in losing to Michigan as they’re just on a different level than any team this year. Love this Wolverines team but no ill will towards the Huskies. Great team. Look forward to the rematch next season
-
Not only did you think Washington would win, you said that Michigan had no chance of slowing down the Washington offense...
-
Michael Penix was sacked, by Kenneth Grant.
-
I loved the game. The two best products college football has produced in decades. Thanks to both teams. The best team won, but the second best team has my respect, and the big ten will never be the same with this kind of addition.
-
Welcome to the B1G Washington, Oregon, USC, and UCLA. Defense isn’t optional here. Get one or be prepared to lose 6 games a year
-
As a die hard Husky fan.. I agree with everything you said . MICH was just better. No excuses. Yes a couple miss holds but we had are chances. The different D Looks and pressure beat us..
-
Husky fan here. Tough game when Penix had to be OUTSTANDING and JJ just had to be decent to win. Penix missed a lot of throws but Michigan D had a lot to do with that. I think Michigan wins this game 8 out of 10 times. Just wish we’d played special enough to win tonight. Good season. Nothing to be disappointed in. Better team won
-
It’s called DEFENSE 😂 Michigan had safeties 20 yards away at the snap
-
Where was that explosive offense? 😂
-
Michigan man here. Hats off to Washington. This game was won in the trenches when Washington was in possession. Michigan being able to get home only bringing 4 all game was the difference today.
-
Michigan Fan here, I will tell you that no self respecting Michigan fan I have talked to here in my home area of Ann Arbor, Michigan has any bad thought of the Washington Huskies. We welcome you with open arms to the BIG10 and look forward to many productive seasons in the future. I would not have chosen another more deserving and better team to play against in the Championship. Together, we will create a force to be reckoned with against the SEC.
-
I was a Michigan man under Bo Schumbeckler. I've seen many years of highs and lows. This year brings back fond memories.

Grew up a Husky fan! Michigan really put it together tonight! They bright good pressure to penix, but he was off tonight. He had windows quite a bit but just kept missing, also Rome was open all night and he just kept missing it. I don’t want to say he was rattled, but man. Even some of the catches were off and our wideouts made great adjustments. Way to be solid on D Blue. Proud of our defensive unit, they got plenty of stops for our offense to put things together, offense couldn’t do it. Also Dillon Johnson shouldn’t have played. Just happy about SEC not running things moving forward
