I could see myself coming back to this in 10 years and reminiscing on how great my childhood really was :>

(BASED OFF TRUE STORY) Me:”hmmm so like 500 deaths maybe?”

I was impressed with all of the systems books on the shelf. A guy with that kind of library should be able to handle V1 cuts. I was a little surprised by the lack of taxi skills.

That foreign object damage on the runway reminds me of Air France flight 4590. For those who don’t know, an incident of that nature happened to the majestic supersonic legend that was Concorde. An airliner capable of flying at Mach 2, thus halving the time needed to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. Exactly like your video, the Concorde ran over a metal object on the runway that fell off a Continental Airlines flight that had departed earlier. It caused a tyre blowout, which damaged the underside of the plane. Two of the 4 state-of-the-art Rolls-Royce Olympus engines flamed out, and as fuel leaked out onto a frayed cable, it ignited, causing a ferocious fire. They had to takeoff anyway, because they were past V1, just like the plane in your video, but their story had a different ending.

This is a nominee for being a nostalgic video after 15-16 years

Great attention to detail! The only minor inaccuracy was banking into the dead engine, which isn't done because it can cause the plane to enter a spin.

The a320 cockpit edit was pretty good ngl

A similar incident was the final nail in the coffin for Concorde. A different plane left some metal on the runway, it scratched the fuselage of Concorde, causing a fuel leak, it wasn’t until it was too late that they realized the situation. The plane lost it’s fuel and crashed into a hotel killing all the passengers. (Forgive me if I get some details wrong.)
