I worked at one of Canada's busiest airports in the late 80's and 90's. We only used granulated urea to salt taxiways and the runways during the winter. Incredible!! Would melt snow for days if it was just a dusting but would of course cut through ice leaving the runways dry and clear. The best part, the green grass near the areas we dropped the urea were so healthy, green, and lush in the spring.

I’m glad to see DEF being of use for something. I haven’t needed it in 3 years after I hit a really big pothole and some parts fell of my truck that used DEF, but I may have to buy some jugs to spray on my lawn now! 😂

Your “purposely neglected” part of your lawn looks 10x better than what I could ever dream of my lawn to look like!
  • @103923
Just did this a few days ago. The lawn absolutely exploded and turned 3 shades darker in less that 24 hours
  • @MrHarryhere69
Urea in solid form also works great for melting Ice. Little fun fact.

This video appears to be a repeat of a previous video… oh well… it’s an oldie but a goldie! Great explanation about how the NPK of 15-0-0 is determined. You have a gift in articulating with clarity 👏 Your video editing skills are way better than other lawn care channels ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Your neglected piece looks better than my lawn that I’ve been doing everything to for 4 years
  • Bored at work, come up on your video, I’m glad you talked about mental health for men. Two years ago my brother lost his fight with his mental illness. Good video I’ll try the Def in my lawn.
  • "Brawndo has what plants crave" You can have my annual usage of DEF. $4.11 USD per gallon at the pump in Amarillo tonight. 25 gallons every 3 days.
  • Look I been doing this for years in my farm fields. While planting corn and spraying Roundup miracle grow def and bug spray. I call it def con 5

I definitely stand by DEF. I used it for my fall nitrogen blitz last year and it made a gigantic difference. Grass recovered from Texas heat between September to November and I was able to keep mowing almost until December. And it’s cheaper than the 27-0-0 Simple Lawn Solutions Growth and Green
  • Everything in this video about DEF makes sense. I just bought it at Walmart for $9. Now I will try water test to make sure I apply it properly as described in the video. Then I will apply the DEF mixture and see what it looks like in a few days. Then apply it again. Let’s see what happens. Expectations are high 👍
  • Im a truck driver that is always trying to maintain my lawn 😂i never thought to use deff thanks for the tip..i have a truck stop about 1.8 miles from the house
  • @briannovak1611
I'm going to try this on my brassica food plots this fall. 2 gallons of DEF to 25 gallons water. Then use my boom sprayer.
  • @pbiceodan

Thx again Also ? how long after foiler spray can you water lawn??
  • @AzrockOmegaMan
We call it Cat Pee. Cuz of the amonia, but also cuz of CAT Deisel engines.
  • @JMCretella
Wow. Never would have considered this product for my lawn.
  • @F1owns
This is a great video, I really appreciate the detailed info. On a side note, I'd love to watch a video or listen to a podcast without hearing about Better Help. They must have a massive marketing budget.

Hi Jesse - Thanks for all the work on this great channel! I’m in my second season of spoon feeding DEF and like the results so far. Also thinking of overseeding with Blackout this fall. Thanks again from another Northern Midwesterner - NE Wisconsin.
