Matthew Macfadyen ('Succession') describes Tom’s 'incremental buildup of hurt' that led to the shocking Season 3 finale. I was shocked when I learned a British actor was playing that character. It speaks to the brilliance of Matthew that he plays the role so effortlessly.

Great interview. I can't wait to see series 4 but i have a feeling that things aren't going to end well for Tom 😬 Love Matthew. He's such an amazing actor
  • Excellent, considered, thoughtful and intelligent interview. You allowed Matthew Macfadyen to shine and so you also shined. I'm subscribing.
  • Awesome interview! You did your homework and know the show so well, asked amazing questions, and it's clear Matthew loved it too. You both were great!

In a normally functioning world and not in the one presented in the series, Tom's caring and loyal personality could unfold, but in the series he often seems to be calculating and suffocating. Greg's empathic personality would also blossom, but now he often seems to be suffering from panic attacks. It's a good series, also creative, but it would be nice to watch the blossoming of positive personality traits sometimes.

This is a good interview. I have been watching the first season and am just about done. I did see most of Season 3 started there. My take on the end, I will see if season 2 bears my suspicions, is that Tom is as smart and as treacherous as all of them and he let Logan know it. Shiv got the message, too.

    Great interview. Thanks.

I see Tom's ambitions partially being reflective of his grudge against his immasculanization. He wants to have a standing with Shiv. Not necessarily to loom over her but at least to see eye to eye with her. Also on of the more flowing interviews I saw, thank you so much for it!
  • @gor764
Great interview! Any chance you could get Strong or Culkin on?

    You can’t make a Tomlette without breaking a Gregg…
  • @KatlynnHahn
I love that he said it’s a mask, he’s not becoming the character. Method acting always seemed silly to me. What he’s doing is more impressive
  • Lol at this sanctimonious tom bs trying to justify s3’s end 🤣
