Well learned something new today, turns out Venomoth is actually an electric grass type pokemon, for years ive thought it was a rock scissors type pokemon. Thank You Scott lol

I think this format would be interesting for the Eveelution speeds too. Maybe not against every rival, but having them race would be interesting.

On your first Lance fight with Charizard, (uh, around 53 minutes), Charizard got paralyzed. If that happens, and you have Dig or Fly on your moveset, you should attempt that move. In gen 1, if you are in the invulnerable stage of Dig/Fly, and get fully paralyzed, you remain invulnerable until using the move again. It is kind of a free win. A bit cheesy, and not practical to guarantee, but worth exploiting when you have the opportunity.

this is most definitely your magnum opus so far, extremely detailed on the gen 1 mechanics and bugs quirks, on top of an already complex three-way race. definitely a great place to start for viewers new to your channel. Good Work Scott, heres to gen 3, 30k, and beyond!

Great video, the production quality on these recent challenges has been off the charts, especially this feature length masterpiece!
  • I’ve watched every video you’ve made, easily one of my favorite channels on YouTube. The progression you’ve made with the video quality has been really sweet, though I still love the early vids
  • @ktbushway
I love your analysis of the different data you’ve collected. You stated venasaur is the most intuitive and that was a unique take that I haven’t seen you or anyone else take in other videos. I love your content dude. Keep it up!

The amount of detail is much appreciated as a viewer. Hope this channel grows even more in 2022. I will definitely be here to witness it!

Absolutely loved watching this vid, on christmas day whilst having my post presents opening cup of tea, I truly lobe the content you create and how your ranking and attention to details differs from other content creators, along with your great personality just makes for great viewing. Glad to see you've developed a small team to help with the burn out, don't want to see you struggling in life when you help so many escape reality for a brief time with your videos. Merry Christmas Scott P.S the bloopers is geniunely a genius addition to videos like this, love it

Just want to say, I really appreciate the metrics you use. It kinda helps it stand out in its own way. It does actually add a good deal of scientific rigor to what is ultimately arbitrary and somewhat lucky. And I really enjoy your competitive battle stances with similar Pokemon. Also, as a piano player myself, I love the 5 times perfect rule.
  • @pikapuffin368
I love how you pick this video as a tutorial for the rest - after all, “which Kanto starter is best?” is the sort of Pokémon question that will get tons of new people’s attention, even if the length might worry someone.
  • @wideright7567
Scott this was a long time coming and SO worth the wait. Enjoy your holidays!
  • @dubwagner
This video was great. Love the very long form content. Thanks a lot, Scott. I’ll keep coming back as long as you make em.
  • @TripleShizzle
