“Movin’ to Mexico” - John Deer Announces Layoffs As Company Flees Blue States

This is not a blue state issue. They would have moved to a red state if that was the issue. This is corporate greed plain and simple.

They're hurting financially because they banned farmers from repairing their own equipment. Imagine that.

Iowa has a republican governor and has voted for Trump overwhelmingly in 2016 and 2020 and will vote for him again in 2024. Iowa is not a blue state

I’m a farmer in Maryland. John Deere has gone woke. Their parts went up 1000% practically overnight. They’re driving us farmers out of business just as fast as the government is by Trilling fuel tripling Fertilizer. It’s so sad to see. I’m trying to get a situation myself where I can sell all of my John Deere equipmentbecause it’s just too expensive to fix

I find the title of this video a tiny bit misleading. Iowa isn't really a "blue state" at present. The best argument you could make is that Iowa is a swing state, but it's been reliably Republican since 2016 and has Republican majorities in both its House and Senate. Side note: Why couldn't John Deere just relocate to a red state like Texas, Florida, or some other place instead of Mexico?

Cost? If the state is the issue then why are they not just going to a red State? Why move out of the country entirely?

There's documentaries of John Deere being crap equipment since repairs can only be done at dealerships.

John Deere has operations in 30 counties around the world. They have 4 in Mexico already and are only moving a portion of their Illinois and Iowa operations to one of the locations in Mexico. I never like to see anyone lose their jobs to another country. I wish Valuetainment would have dug a little deeper before this podcast. We need reliable sources of information, not another CNN.

The current market/economy is unnecessarily tougher for boomers/senior citizens, I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.

After listening to segments like this I realize how uninformed these guys are on so many topics. I’m a supporter but so many times it’s just ranting without living in reality. John deer is able to move to Mexico because of the deal that Trump signed with Mexico and now you think he’s gonna put tariffs on them? This is a geopolictal tactic that both left and right have agreed to adopt which is essentially to use Mexico as an extension to our manufacturing industry. I get you Kay not like it but that is the reality and without acknowledging that it sounds like I’m listening to CNN

Why doesn’t John Deere just wait. Sooner or later half of Mexico will be over here.

As a Mexican, ill say that we are a great country for America to invest in. The fact is that its a globalized world, and we don't have to be enemies. Invest in Mexico instead of China! Not everything is politics, if John Deere decided to move to mexico, its because it was a good financial decision!
