I am so glad that you included 'Personal Well-being" as it is so often forgotten which can lead to Burnout. That is why you should as you tell seperate work and private. I even have a seperate Phonenumber, because My students sometimes try to reach me and collegues in private and sometimes nighttime. Meetings are the curse of the (Dutch) Educational system by the way. That is usefull what you say to question your presence in a meeting. The unplug I already do, as I told before. This was a very useful video again. Thank you Lea!

I work in finance and the total number of hours I spend on my job per week is 2 whole days. The other 3 days is spent on jokes and talks with colleagues, coffee, books and news. Is there any way I could be more productive? Maybe I should start my own YT channel? Thanks Lea, great job as ever! I’m your biggest fan. Looking forward to more ☺️

Another great video! I had to chuckle most of the way through this and could only think, yep I'm doing (or more likely attempting) a good portion of that already. Never liked emails becoming instant messaging and when you consider it was intended to replace snail mail, it makes sense to just leave them for when you are ready to read/action. Not sure if you've noticed in your field, but I'm starting to see a trend of extra meetings being requested during 'unplugging', especially during busy periods where you wan to to focus and get a task out of the way. Basically feels like because the email/call wasn't responded to instantly, we need to schedule an urgent 30 min meeting to cover it. I'm sure at least 5-10 mins of that meeting will be ensuring everyone has joined, microphones are clear, cameras working and greetings/general chit-chat...time well spent. Certainly a balancing act isn't it!
