Awesome movie and superb performance by Vikram. Only problem is the narration. Present n past scenes come next to each other so common man doesn't understand this narration and we need to watch at least twice to understand the movie

Math doesn't lie and the math in this case says that the movie is stupid. The girl's theory to fix "the big loophole" in itself has a big loophole. It doesn't work. That means the "great mathematician" is actually an idiot who got, at best, lucky. Do you know the speed of a fan? Approx 40-50mph Do you know the speed of a bullet? Approx 1700mph (for a handgun). To a bullet, the fan is basically standing still (which makes the third ricochet explanation complete bunkum). What percentage of the circle do the blades take up? The fan being shown is a 3-bladed fan where the blades take up maybe 10% of the area, BUT the usable portion (for ricochet) of the fan blade is much less. Hitting a fan blade with a bullet in just the right way to get the ricochet necessary is such low probability that it won't happen in the manner described. No, there is no way for a "genius mathematician" to make it happen. It is a matter of chance (probability). Don't forget that fan blades being shown in the movie are CURVED which makes calculating even more impossible. That further adds uncertainty. I won't even bother to go into problems associated with distortion (from initial impact), tumbling, velocity issues, fan blade metal malleability (the bullet is more likely to actually go THROUGH the blade than ricochet off it), etc. So, the officers who questioned the validity of the (minor) girl were spot on, though for different reasons. In order to make the girl look mathematically smart, they made everyone else in the movie utter idiots sans even basic logic and basic physics. Look, I have no problem with movies ignoring reality for the sake of entertainment, but when a movie tries to use realism and logic to create something that can't happen, then it makes the movie (and the characters) look pretty stupid. I shouldn't even bother describing the problems with the (stupid) analysis of the Scotland murder...
