Season 1 Episode 3 "Occam's Razor"
A college student named Brandon (Kevin Zegers) collapses after having sex with his fiancée. His symptoms seem too numerous to be explained by just one disease. Foreman and House each suggest different diagnoses and argue that his own respective theory better conforms to Occam's Razor. But then Brandon's white blood cell count drops, proving both doctors wrong. At the clinic pharmacy, House theorizes that the pharmacist accidentally gave Brandon colchicine instead of cough medicine, which explains all of his symptoms aside from his cough. House gives Brandon the cure, and he immediately begins to recover, though nobody believes the pharmacist made a mistake. However, when Brandon comments that his old cough medicine did not have letters on it like his current pills, House discovers colchicine pills that look similar to cough medicine, revealing the source and confirming House's diagnosis.

"I just don't like being told what to do." The way to House's heart
  • "I just don't like being told what to do." (Instantly earns House's respect.)

"I've been a doctor for 20 years you're not gonna surprise me" "it's an MP3 player" house: O.O

“and the RIAA wants her to check for illegal downloads” He's so proud of that joke lol

5:55 Wilson has been casually prescribing House Vicodin since season one and I love that detail because it actually becomes an issue later.
  • It’s funny watching these clips from the first season because everyone looks so different. I mean, Hugh still has brown hair!

I love seeing House do actual research. His random eureka moments are awesome too, but the research shows more commitment to his job than just passing it off as a hobby.

"But who knows, maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm too stoned to tell" XD

Noticing how the video is 9:59 minutes long, which means whoever is posting these videos knows about YouTube’s ad system, meaning any video over 10 minutes will have ads, the video being this length means the poster is aware of how annoying the ads are, and I applaud them for this

No lights on in the hospital ever. Lol. That always bugs me about EVERY MEDICAL SHOW EVER. Hospitals are bright and well lit.

2:32 "I just don't like being told what to do." Hugh's acting in after that was soooo good.

I don't know about you, but I feel that Robert Sean Leonard has not received the credit that he so rightfully deserves, since House. He's a phenomenal actor and I personally believe that he's been cheated on multiple times by an industry that no longer values hard work nor true comedic talent. As a long-time fan of his work, I'm proud of how far he's come from his Dead Poets Society/ Age of Innocence/ Much Ado About Nothing, days, yet am and still remain to be quite outraged by the matter. He'd make a wonderful leading man in a crime anthology series. He's incredibly intelligent and well-suited for any part, in my opinion. Not only that, but he is also very charismatic and possesses the rare ability to entertain the viewer in any given situation. I don't know, but there's just something so special and authentic about his work ethic and performance, as though he is bringing us out of the chaos, beneath the rubble, into the light, over and over again, and yet we're left wanting more. Now that I'm growing older, I appreciate his work more than ever before. He IS an artist.

I’m constantly amazed at the production differences between seasons 1 and 2-8. The bad lighting, the sweaty actors and actresses, the poor sound reception.
