Today we are going to make a custom Windows 11 ISO using a program called NTLite. This guide will work on both Windows 10 and 11. With NTLite you can decide what parts of Windows you want to keep or remove and you can also add 3rd party software to the ISO. You can also make many changes to the look of Windows as well. This is a long video because NTLite has a lot of options.

This dude is the Gandalf of computers, he even has the wizard beard.
  • One year later..... I'm still churning out fully functional ISO mod's. This video was GOLD !!! Thanks man :)
  • @dtsoltero
I've followed step by step and I managed to make it work. I really NEEDED a bloat free windows and its working INSANELY well. Thank you for your videos!
  • @CyberCPU Excellent video! Well done. EDIT: Kudos for including FireFox! That was very cool of you.

JUST WHAT I NEED!!! I am CONSTANTLY having to install the individual apps when I setup a new computer; VLC, Adobe Reader, Chrome, Firefox... sooo many. Using this method, I can create a custom ISO so I don't have to install all these apps later! Thank you so much for this.

Debloating windows has been my standard since several years. So thanks for this video! I'll be starting to make my "own" iso's from this point onward.

This video brought back fond memories of 20 years ago when I was using Nlite and NTlite for the first time.

When removing components a good starting point is the templates (not shown in the video). Essentially the “privacy” template unchecks ALL of the components marked green. From there you can untick more (or less) but it’ll save you a lot of trouble going through all the menus.
  • Just wanted to mention something important: When it comes to disabling Windows Defender, you'll want to keep the window open, just minimized. Or else it will turn itself back on and it may happen before you're ready for it. But keeping the window open and minimized somehow keeps it disabled until you either close the window, or re-enable it.

Followed this. Used a copy of LTSC 2021 and some activation stuff. Threw in the apps I normally install and ran into a few issues with the order of the setcomplete cmd. Figured out it was deleting the scripts folder before 1) it installed the apps or 2) it would activate. Moved all the deleting lines of the cmd to the bottom and boom ... Activated lite windows 10. Thanks for the great tutorial.

I like that you actually mention the risk of doing a 'lite' windows install. I've ran into issues and it's good advice.

Excellent. I'm going to have fun playing with this program. Reminds me of MSMG Tool Kit, except with a GUI.
  • Thanks so much! Keep up the great work! Thanks for taking my suggestion. Love these videos!

I finally made my own customer iso. Thank you for your service.
  • @honahwikeepa2115
Brilliant tutorial. I had no issues because I did this using Revi-os on my old HP Z440.
  • @MarkWariner
Thank you for this video tutorial. Man I followed this to a tee and NO ISSUES. Love it! I previously installed Hyper V and had Windows issues. So I removed and was skeptical about Virtual Box but man this app brings back the old days when you could test things out. In fact, I remember installing vMware back in the day and had all the windows installed from Windows 3.0b, Of course all the DOS and some Linus distros too. Anyhow, thank you for this and all the stuff you do. Way cool
