Montpelier is the capital city of Vermont. The 1859 Vermont State House is a gold-domed Greek Revival building with decorative and fine art collections. A multimedia exhibit and mural depict the state’s history at the adjacent Vermont History Museum. Nearby, sprawling, wooded Hubbard Park has meadows, a birch grove and a stone observation tower. The Lost Nation Theater stages modern and classic plays and musicals.

Stowe is a town in northern Vermont. It’s overlooked by Mount Mansfield, known for its trails and ski slopes. The Auto Toll Road climbs to the summit ridge. Near the base, Smugglers’ Notch State Park has dense forest and a narrow mountain pass. The Stowe Recreation Path follows the West Branch of the Little River through town, with mountain views. The Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum exhibits ski gear and artifacts.

Waterbury is a town in Washington County in central Vermont, United States. Although the town is still home to the Waterbury Village Historic District, the village sharing the name of the town officially dissolved as a municipality in 2018. As of the 2020 census, the population was 5,331.

  • i was born and raised in montpelier and it’s so peculiar to see these places that are so familiar to me be seen through the eyes of a tourist😅 (also it pronounced “mont-peel-er”) cool video!
  • We are going to be there this summer. 2 nights in both Waterbury and Montpelier.
  • My favorite place in the whole world. ❤ some of my favorite places to go when I’m there. I haven’t been this year so thank you for the memories. 🎉glad you loved it.

You drove by my house! It's pronounce Mont-Peel-E-Yer. Not the French spelling, though it was named after an ancient town in France known for its pleasant "modest elevation. Montpelier is the only state capitol in the US without a McDonald's, and we are very proud of that.
