In my opinion, the Real Madrid squad in the 2011/12 season under Jose Mourinho remains the best team to not have won the Champions league.

Mourinho shifted the dynamic of Real Madrid. Led by The Cristiano Ronaldo, supplemented by Ozil, Benzema, Di Maria the counter attacks were deadly. Iconic team, man.

It was under Mourinho that Ronaldo boosted his conquest. Geared up by Ancelotti and optimized by Zidane. He became the best. I'll always love Mourinho for that.

Mourinho basically kick started a whole decade of Real Madrid dominance in Europe despite not winning one himself ever since. I hate that he split the dressing room towards the end of his stint by benching Casillas and having a rift with Ramos, but one can never deny that his philosophy is what brings Real Madrid back to our level, and levelling the ground with Pep's Barcelona (who probably is the greatest club side ever)

I love Pep and Jose. People forget that there was a point when Pep did feel inferior than Jose. I feel Pep grew out of that and so did Jose mature. The best rivalry amongst the greatest clashes of ideologies

In my opinion Mourinho is the best manager of all time. I used to think that that wasn't an uncommon opinion but I was surprised with how barely anyone else agrees. The way he could adapt to any team even with much worse teams such as Inter or Porto.
