I remember Microsoft stating way back that Windows 10 was going to be their last new OS and that from then on they would just be updating it. Oh well guess they changed their minds considering now their talking about Windows 12.

Option 4 is switching to Linux, to some people is as viable
  • @Valkirth
no new features for win 10 that Microsoft keeping stuffing in windows that no one wanted or asked for is a good thing imho.
  • @JaviEscal

Got a Surface Pro 4 about nine years ago, Windows 10, still runs like a charm. NOT WIN11 COMPATIBLE. WHAA. I paid for it to last. Not to get blown up by the OS. It runs fine!!! For shame... though taaaaunt me, though taaaaaunt me.
  • Cool video, I'm watching it from Windows 7. Videos like this seem to confuse the wording a lot. Going from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is an "update", not an "upgrade". Update is moving to the current version of a thing, be it a product or even information. The word upgrade implies an improvement in functionality or productivity to the user, which is not applicable in this case because it depends too much on what the user uses the software for. For many users, the change from 10 to 11, while an update, may be a downgrade, as we know is the case of many very vocal people you meet online, but, yet, videos like this still mix up these too words very often.
  • The Windows 10 ESU will go until October 14th 2028. I think we dont need to worry all that much.

I moved to Linux. I have no desire to run Windows 11 on any of systems. Plus Linux is a lot faster and more reliable than Windows for my daily usage.

What to do? Celebtrate I can finally use my PC in peace from the bullshit "updates" that always break my system
  • What if don't need new features & upgrade to new versions of existing software I am using for my business? Will it be safe? You said Microsoft didn't announced ESU cost, they actually have for enterprise. Yes, not for home user. I think they will extend Windows 10 support in last moment as 70% of Windows users are on Windows 10.

I just got on windows 10 about a year ago, so hard for me to believe it's been 10 years already, wow! I stopped my updated on h22 and windows can't update beyond that due to scripts I wrote but I do still get the security updates. For what I use my pc for and as long as I don't also update my pc programs I bet I got another 10 years on windows 10. I'm okay without all the extra updates don't really feel it's needed. Sometimes but most of the time think they can do more harm than good.

I got tired of Microsoft, so I'm moving to Manjaro, I can run the majority of my programs there without an issue, a handful need minor tweaks but overall it works, it's fast, etc.

Nothing’s gonna happen...I still use XP and 7 with no issues. It’s all BS. Everyone’s router has a built in firewall so it’s fine.

Thank you for this video, but because I have hearing difficulties, the music playing in the background makes it very hard to hear what you are saying.. Thank you.
  • @Uraim
    im prepared to use win11
  • I plan on either switching to Linux or stay on Windows 10 until everything stops working so far Steam is still working but for how long?
  • @tomcan48
I wonder how much Licensing Lab received from MS to propose these options?
