In his 1791 autobiography, Ben Franklin laid out his daily routine. Let's go through it, see what's useful, and also highlight what's missing.

  • Notice how Ben Franklin didn't waste his time on Social Media, like Facebook. 😊

Hope you guys enjoy this video! Digging into the habits and practices of historical figures is always fun, so let me know if you want to see more (and who!)
  • Apparently Ben Franklin needed 3 hours to get ready to face the day, never thought he was a guy I'd be able to relate to.

"What good have I done today? " It seems that Franklin's goals are bigger than himself and he tries to do good for his fellows as well, he is not simply going through his to do list, this surely helps get him motivated day to day ...
  • I was surprised to find myself so much fuller of faults than I had imagined, but I had the satisfaction of seeing them diminish

The final part about acceptance through failure was the most important for me. Thanks, Tom! Dealing with schedules is hard for me, but when I adapted to it, my productivity increased severely.

As a behaviorist I found this video extremely intelligent and well delivered. No nonsense with a clear understanding of the topic. Well Done.

Ben Franklin was a lot more than some dude that lived 300 years ago. This guy was probably one of the top 5 humans to ever live.
  • Nicely filmed. That is a thorough study and evaluation of a historical person. From interpreting the schedule to highlighting the agendas that are missing out in the schedule. A totally rare but content-rich video. I hope i can give more thumbs up rather than one.
  • Happiest time of my life was as a missionary. Up at 6:30, exercise for 30 min, ready and breakfast till 8:00, personal study, then planing and goal setting for the day. At 9 I was home and reviewed my day and goals set tentative goals for the next day, then I wrote in my journal, took time doing something I enjoyed and was in bed by 10:30. I had purpose and direction. I know this can’t directly apply to my life now but finding a way to adapt it I think is the key to tapping back into that direction and purpose.

One of my all time favorite videos, right... here. Now... I am asking this morning: "What good shall I do today?" and tonight I will ask: "What good have I done today?" Thank you, Thomas! You are earning this my friend.
  • Great Daily routine. I also weekly routine: Day off, "examination" of the week, week scheduling, prepare free time, prepare family time.

One of my favorites videos so far, because of tha fact you seem pretty supportive with the idea of daily mistakes

Found it helpful as you emphasized not to copy exactly as a successful person. Most of the self help books tell us a lot of things that we should be doing and it is overwhelming. Thanks for the video!
