For my secret bases like that I do them underground. I put multi layers of : Obsidian, Bedrock, Ancient debris and ect. Then I decorate it and make sure it safe. Then I make secret bases in a secret base so I can go deeper or higher if needed.

I would have done is make parts of the main base underground and then part of the base on top of the ground so that in case for third ones that are like earthquakes or not means and stuff like that you have different areas to go in there. But also you'll be weird at the pending on what kind of disaster it is. Certain those stuff you're using like obsidian won't work so you got to have to use bedrock.

honestly my base would depend on the requirements but my normal base would be below bedrock in the void cause why not it would protect from everything

I would build a bedrock and reinforced deepslate underground base with a 95 block deep panic room to survive in a natural disaster in minecraft.Great vids, though!
