Republican nominee for vice president JD Vance held a rally in his hometown Middletown, Ohio, on July 22, 2024. In his speech, Vance praised the community that raised him, said he was proud to represent the United States and made the case for voters to elect him and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

    I am very happy for Ohio, although I live here in CA. I have been in that state for a number of occasions, but I have never been in Middletown. I worked for EATON CORP. for 10 years not until the recession kicks-in 2007-08 and finally I was laid off with the company in 2009 and we were the last batch. I have been to places like Toledo, Sandusky (Cedar Point), Cleveland (R&R Hall of Fame), Columbus especially close to my heart. My niece finished her Masters at OSU, what a great school.
