Finally, the Russia navy has a safe space from Ukraine's drone attacks.

An old frigate, an old sub, a tug boat and an oiler. The only thing newsworthy about this is that only one tug boat was sent.
  • Both Russian and Chinese nuclear armed subs have been sitting off the USA coast for the last 20 years anyway. Crisis what crisis .

At least Russia didn't send it's one and only ancient aircraft carrier to Cuba. Oh, yeah, that'a right, it's in the dry dock again getting a refit.
  • Those ships are just avoiding the fatal environment of the Black Sea for some R&R in the fabulous vacation spot of Cuba. They are just adorable.
  • They sent a sub, a frigate, and a tug boat when one inevitably breaks down. Consider me thoroughly unworried - this is not a Cuban missile crisis 2.0.
  • Good thing they sent a tug - Russian Navy won't leave home without it.

If Cuba thinks it’s okay for Russia to invade and annex Ukraine, surely they could have no objection to an American invasion and annexation of Cuba. 😏
  • Making a fuss will only please the little man in Moscow, he’s trying to intimidate the west like the USSR attempted, yet russia only has a fraction of their capabilities…..

So the net effect of this is that Cuba's chances of ever getting US sanctions lifted are now between 0 and none.

The "warships" are powered by Chinese motorcycle engines.

Please don't make me laugh with your 'missile crisis' and 'showdown' clickbait. This is a non-event, just russia trying (and failing) to look scary.

Russia's show of force farce. 🤭

"Cuba Showdown"? Anyone who witnessed the Cuban Missile Crisis as I did, knows how utterly laughable this is.
  • The Russian ships do not cause me ANY concern. They make me yawn. 🥱

Cuba gave it's men over for the Orcs meatgrinder in Ukraine. They care nothing for their citizens' well-being. Incredibly sad.

not really. the russians can deliver nukes from international waters anyway. the fact there’s a few boats in cuba is neither here nor there. similar to them moving their nukes to belarus. makes no difference
