HOW TO BEAT SINEX/SUDAFED/AFRIN/4WAY REBOUND ADDICTION WITHIN A MONTH

Published 2018-02-27
Let me know how it goes for you guys!

Step 1) Make sure your bottle is a screw top (or that it can be refilled easily)

Step 2) Continue to use as normal, however, refill your bottle with a saline solution or water every night in order to dilute. Continue doing this until you notice that the pressure in your nose caused by your turbinates is lessened.

Step 3) Once the pressure is manageable on a day-to-day basis, stop using your spray and go cold turkey (NEVER PICK IT UP AGAIN)

Step 4) Here, i'd advise using a steroid spray that are usually also sold over the counter to help open up your nostrils.*NOTE that these usually take a few weeks to build up to their full effect so stick with it!

Step 5) Once nostrils stay consistently open everyday, discontinue the use of the steroid and just be happy you've done it!!

*** Please note that occasionally my right nostril still gets a little stuffy from time to time and that is where the steroid spray comes in handy, however this is rare.

I was addicted for over a year. I finally used the method to spray one nose and let the other one suffer. After a week, the suffered nose healed and I let the other one suffer. After two weeks I am fully blessed and healed

I realized that it had crossed a line when I would wake up early because my nose was completely blocked

I'm 8 hours into my cold turkey. I'm dying. My congestion came at about 5 hours after last use. I've only been stuck on it for about a month so I'm hoping that this may be easier for me then the people who have been on it for years. Today I became a mouth breather.

Been addicted to this for 4y as well. Found the best way is to spray one nostril as usual and suffer with the other other one. Once that one is back to normal, stop the spray and breathe through the already healed nostril until the other one opens up. Makes it extremely easy. You don’t really notice that you can’t breath through the other. It’s not that bad. Hope this helps somebody.

Definitely use distilled water or just use an over the counter saline spray. You run the risk of putting some contaminants in your nose/sinuses if you use regular water. Oxymetazoline is nasty shit and almost got me hooked after i had sinus problems for a while, should really be illegal due to how addictive it is.

Hello! I have been addicted for about nine months now I'm just now understanding that I am addicted. I've been telling my self it's allergies but now seeing videos and reading about it I'm completely sure that this is what is causing my congestion. It's only in my left side which drives me crazy!! I will be trying your method this week hopefully it will help me because it's horrible not being able to breath. It takes away your quality of life! Thank you for this video!!

How to beat nasal spray addiction: 1. use it less times in the day (count them and set a goal number every time less) 2. use it all day and in the night refilled it with saline nasal solution 3. when its 50/50 diluted star one nostril strategy (only use it in one nostril and in the other cold turkey strategy). 4. Use Only Saline Nasal Solution- Finally 1 month later go to specialist and have a Nasal exam to discard other causes of nasal blockage. Drink a lot of water and do a lot of exercise.

  • Ive been addicting for about 5 years. And I was able to Just stop them. It was a nightmare for about a week not putting any nasal spray but day by day I was getting better. Now 8 days later I can almost breathe normally. No methods of anything. Just stopped them one day!

I'm on day 5 cold turkey and it's so rough. I want to spray my nose badly but starting over just isn't an option. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, the panic attacks are the worst.
  • @hopedozier2660
Thank you for the video. Did you experience any post nasal drip? If so how long and how did you treat it?
  • I’m on day 3 and I feel a lot better already... been using nasal strips for night time and using vapour rub in the day for relief
  • @alfdadlfj1618
Do one nasal cavity at a time. Within a few days the one will clear up, then go on to the next. I was addicted for years, 10+ pumps a day. Horrible.

I'm suffering bad. I need surgery for polyps and chronic sinusitis and my surgeon won't perform the surgery until I am 3 months off Drixoral. I have been using it for four years. Thanks for all the tips! This sucks bad. I'm on day two cold turkey and am using a sinus irrigater system along with a modified shop vac sucking out the other nostril. Also taking anti inflamatories (naproxen and tumeric). Its working somewhat.

I've been struggling with chronic rihinitis for 6 months and almost fail some classes. Now with you're recommendation a start getting slightly better
  • I have had something wrong with my nose since forever. I had two operations as a kid, neither of them worked. My nose is basically alway blocked, for the majority of my life it has been way more blocked than clear. Us ring the nasal spray feel amazing for me. I was told that using it too often will give me a rebound but I didn’t care because that natural state of my nose had always been blocked so it made no difference. For a long time I have been researching methods for me so I can finally breathe through my nose regularly and not have to worry about always sounding blocked. I feel like my problem is inevitable.
  • @MansFranzen
I used Afrin for a year, quit cold turkey about a month ago and the tissue in my nose is still swelling each night on one side, anyone else with this issue?
  • @coburna5
Or just use the one nostril method. So here’s what worked for me. Use it as you would in only one nostril. The when your other nostril ( the one that you didn’t use in,is clear), stop using all together. Then allow time for that nostril to acclimate. Slam bam thank you ma’am.
