Got questions, ask them here.

hey man, ty so much for uploading this guide, really helped me out with how to mess with the settings to combat the lag on my stream. ty again.

Great video man thanks a lot for the information.  I haven't gotten a chance to try out my new settings for XSplit after watching this but I'm confident they will at least be better than they already are.  I have an OK internet connection but a pretty beast computer and after watching this video I put my settings to what should be good for very minimal FPS drops during action-packed game play so we'll see how it goes.

going to implement some of this advice thank you. hope it helps somewhat. i get quite a bad stream to be fair.  tried numerous times with many many settings but alas i think i had it wrong

Yes, the delay can be caused by a handful of things, from the current build of xsplit, the the streaming service you are using (twitch/ustream/ow3d), to just also running a game. Over time your delay will build and build up more and more. Just refresh your stream, and having viewers refresh will catch them up a bit too. I would say a 5-15sec delay is pretty normal, even for beast machines and internet speeds :)

true 720p needs a bit more than 4mbs Basically if the compression isnt high enough the quailty won't truely be in 720p, but will still show as 720p, and your 4mbs will all be being used up. Which will cause game lag if you are playing online.

That's true! I got my friend to give me a cracked version of the premium and seems to be a bit better yes, but still few lagg sometimes but better it sure is!

Thank you so fucking much!!! you just saved me big time lol!. the resolution was the main problem for me. it was too high
  • @MoonLiteNite
    If the game itself is lagging, then you need to make xsplit do less work. Things to try: - VERY FAST preset (this will require more internet upload speed though_ - Lower FPS capture - Lower res with your upload at 1mb, i suggest only 750kbs for the upload speed in xsplit, or else your net will lag. In the end, just lower the capture resolution would fix your problems, you appear to have both a bad connection and computer :{

ohh, for example when i live stream on twitch with my dazzle why do i lag in the game? but not on twitch? im perfect on twitch but in game im lagging? (just a little) why is that? (and i have it on 320p and in encoding i have it on veryfast) should i change anything??
  • My upload speed is at 22.27 and my download speed is at 64.05 is that good for 1920 by 1080? in xsplit and 30.00 fps?
  • @MrZazzyHD
i have 37.36mbps upload speed but the maximum in xsplit is only 14mbps and the pc is good quad i7 3770k is it normal to have 4-7 seconds delay ?
  • @MoonLiteNite
You put the res at something very low at say 320p? and the bitrate at 500kbs? And still getting lag? You are seeing the lag on the same computer you are trying to stream with? Or are you checking with another device?
  • @AllTutorialsRO
154.37mb download and 6.28mb upload my and my stream is still lagging when i'm streaming 720p. Is it my CPU?
  • @Legacy2121
Multiplayer games won't use anywhere near 2000kbps upload... MAYBE a couple hundred

Hello, well I just started streaming, and I have some seriously lagg, when I start up Xsplit! The game itself laggs abit after the opening, but the stream laggs so much damn much :s My connection is really bad....only 10/1 Mbit!! So I believe that it be because of that... I have been trying hard to get the Bitrate to the number ill like and doing the thinks Im supposed too, but its still really bad! If you can give me a pretty clear answer on what the problem is it would be great! thanks.
