I've been playing this 2023 hacking contest hack lately by Roebloz and it was my third attempt to finish the game and I thought I would record the ending even though I didn't get all program disks. The music that plays on the ending credits intrigued me to the point of wanting to upload it.

There is a dangerous bug that crashes the game at the end of Aqua Mermaid Zone act 2 right before touching the bonus end of level panel, it only happened the very first time I played this and i'm not sure how to trigger it but it was nasty! A rainbow of colours light up the screen then the music speeds up to 100Hz until the next level loads and then black and grey colours fill the screen and then a complete crash! Each time I play this game I get my recording equipment ready to capture the bug to upload onto Youtube but it never triggers.

I gotten around to trying this hack myself but on the Master System II. And I can see what you mean on the dangerous bug. Not just the Mega Everdrive x7. It also happened on the 2016 revision of the Master Everdrive I got that uses the Big SD card readers, . I Happen to ran to that bug at the end of Act.1. NGL I enjoyed the hack right up until I got to the end of Act 1 of Aqua Mermaid Zone. I think Roebloz didn't test this on actual real hardware himself to make sure it would run fine on that without issues.
