Today we look at the hidden man behind the mask!

discord server: discord.gg/xNQ8TaV

I have to say, Twilight Princess is one of my favourite Zelda games! The dark themes plus the atmosphere of the game really add to the experience, and it was about time I talk about it! How? Well you will have to find out by watching my theory on who Master Kohga could be!

If you have any theories you want me to cover, make sure to let me know in the comments section below! Also, remember that if you want to, you can join my own discord server and talk theories or just hang out for fun!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the video! Now if you excuse me, I have a Mipha episode to work on....

  • Oh boy, this looks like it might become one of the most controversial theories I have made! A few things to say: 1. before people tell me, yes I have seen HMK's video explaining how the Civil War and Interloper War are different. Whether this is true or not, it doesn't really affect the theory much. I was just using it to really solidify the timeline 2. Another thing that Kohga and Zant have in common is their "dramatic" poses they make. Just a little thing I found interesting. 3. Also, when the Yiga stole the Thunder Helm, could Kohga have only taken it because he thought it might have been the Fused Shadow and wanted the reclaim the power of his ancestor? That's all from me. Like always, feel free to post your thoughts in the comments section and my discord link is always in the description in case you want to join our little community! See you guys later <3 (also thanks for 6k)
  • I always wished there was a quest where you could join the Yiga clan. Perhaps one of their members tries to recruit you thinking your just a traveler and you have to complete some initiation to join. Maybe as a reward you get a yiga clan mask which works like the monster masks making them think your a member and maybe you can have a conversation with them.

I came across a girl on the road sobbing and I was like, “She’s probably a Yiga Clan member but— WHAT IF SHE ISN’T I FEEL BAD?!” She said, “I want cooked salmon.... AND BANANAS! DIE!”
  • "The biggest problem here is that Zant isn't a Shiekah." Me: Actually the biggest problem is that Zant actually died, on-screen.
  • There's no denying that Nintendo made Koga similar to Zant on purpose but I think they did so to pay tribute to him. So you could say Koga is Zant's incarnate in the same way that other characters are reincarnated time and time again
  • Does anyone know why Master Kohga was the Yiga Leader in the first place? Besides him trying to kill you, he actually seems like a nice guy.
  • Breath of the wild is my favorite Zelda game because it’s the only Zelda game I’ve played
  • He's probably a failed reincarnation of Zant.
  • me looking at the stature of Koga: "oh shit, it's tingle isn't it?"
  • @GipsyD29
Here's a personal note for Zant from me: Dear Zant, your helmet in BOTW is extremely useful with the Unfreezable buff. Thank you very much for that.
  • I love how infiltrating the base is harder than the actual boss fight lolz
  • @grotn_
The paper thingies that appear when Kogha summons the iron balls are probably designed to resemble sealing notes (or whatever you call them)
  • this was honestly my favorite boss fight. Felt the most like a traditional zelda boss

Couldn't Zants speech also be connected to the Zonai? What if the Zonai aren't around anymore, because they were banished into the twilight realm by the royal family? Perhaps the twilight realm exists out of time so that people who are banished in the future could also be met by people in the past. The Zonai are described as strong magic users in Botw and have vanished completely over time. What if they were banished to the twilight because of their potential threat to Hyrule. In Botw the Shikah were banished and shunned due to growing to powerful with their technology. Perhaps the Zonai were even bigger potential threats and were therefore removed from Hyrule entirely. They might have even been the ones who collected all of the shards Midna shattered it in to with the help of their magic abilities and handed it over to the royal family to gain their trust, only to have their gift used against them
  • Now, here's the problem I see with this theory: it operates around the notion that Zant was a punchline, and... he really wasn't. He did things, he had a role, a sinister aura, and I'mma hafta disagree on the notion that he was easy like Kohga. He had MORE phases than Ganondorf, and, as I noticed when I did a three-heart run, may just be the toughest boss in the game, having scored 6 of the 17 kills I took in that run. Even the wild motions he makes come off more as a legitimate combat style than as simply flailing wildly.
  • He's either a decendant or a parallel/alternate version. But you're definitely on to something here.
  • To be honest, my guess is simply that he's the most powerful of the Yiga (which makes sense, they're mostly pushovers) As for why the Yiga follow Ganon, I think it's because they're afraid of Ganon and they think following him will make him spare them.
