Mr Bones, in your next video hold the intro for two extra seconds if Pancrasnowork is holding you hostage. We will send help.

I’m left to conclude that elves just love the term “monomolecular”

The most messed up Eldar weapon for me is the 'Harlequins Kiss', a wrist mounted monofilament launcher that fires the wire into your body, pulps flesh and bone turning you into a flesh sack of goo then the wire retracts back into the Kiss again. Nasty!

Caliber just means how wide a projectile is. A 9mm bullet is 9mm's wide, etc. You could use caliber to describe the width of a beam, or you could use collimation, where the rays of light are parallel to one another and there is no diffusion over distance. "The laser has a collimation of 10mm", that sort of thing. In the real world, diffraction would prevent this, but we're talking about space elves, so....

Eldar weapons, from incredibly weeby with shurikan weapons to incredibly terrifying with literal Warp blackhole launchers. Eldar really have some cool weapons like their chainswords, brightlances, the various polearms, fusion guns, prism weapons, and the nightmare fuel that is the D weapons. The D weapons are my absolute favorite for how hilariously strong and dangerous they are. Nothing like sending your target, or sections of it, directly into the warp with each projectile launched.

I think "High power" is the term youre looking for, laser weapons use energy, so power is the appropriate term
  • @pigeon4x250
If you like the monofilament weapons check out the Harlequin's Kiss. It's easily one of the meaner weapons I've heard of.
  • @liv9520
I want to see you go insane covering AdMech weapons
  • @BLANK-pr5qs
Even as an Eldar fan, I think they’re often poorly handled, but have such cool concepts. I love them for the concepts, the executions are rarely well done.
  • Hey Arthur, just wanted to thank you for your videos. They have been a breath of fresh air to 40k . Your videos seem to have a soul an active insight from the eyes of a fans . Love your contact

In Dark Heresy there is a minor alien race called the Anulians who use splinter rifle variants that fire mono molecular wires that embed into targets, be they walls or people. They can hold and touch them without being cut, but no one else can and it makes ambushes set up by them particularly dangerous. Also, do AdMech.

Skaven weapons are more fun because of bigger chance of explosion. Skaven yet?
  • The main difference I see between the Eldar weapons and the Imperium's is that the Eldar actually care to put the more dangerous weapons on things that can handle them where the Imperium will just give plasma weapons to guardsmen and replace them everytime they blow up
  • @canyunhicks1587
A quick note about elder plasma weapons is that the projectiles they fire are guided.
  • @Rizz_Messiah
With lasers you generally describe their power by the wattage they output.
  • @EngineerOfVaul
The ranger longrifle is kinda unique as a laser weapon, cause its not just a laser that comes out of the barrel. There's also a superlight monomolecular needle that gets propelled by said laser beam and into the target at near lightspeed. So it does both thermal and kinetic damage. Why not stay on a roll and make the next one on the Drukhari? They have all the disturbing haemonculus weapons like the flesh gauntlet and the ossifactor. They also interestingly use particle cannons instead of lasers like their craftworld cousins, which are more powerful. They are probably the faction with the hardest hitting weapons in the setting, even above craftworlds and the necrons.

Lumens is a great measurement for laser weapons. Or you can use something like high refraction rate since the eldar's laser weapons generally use some sort of crystal.
