I knew I wanted to live a simpler life, but if that was going to happen, I needed to learn how to say NO. I wouldn't say it was easy, but it was essential. I'm proof of that. Also--there are ways to say no kindly and graciously...I had to learn that lesson too. Cheers!

I’m saying no to babysitting. As a stay at home mom, it’s assumed that I’m available to watch everyone else’s kids. But I decided to stay at home to have special one on one time with my own. ❤️

I said no to Facebook and Instagram a few years ago and it made a world of difference in my anxiety and contentment. I still use youtube but I find it doesnt have the same mindless scrolling effect as the other two, I can choose to watch something thats helpful instead of hurtful. Thanks for your videos, I always enjoy what you have to say and find it very helpful and encouraging.

I’ve just quit a high profile job to return to my first job - working as a goldsmith at a local jeweller. I say no to pointless zoom meetings, a second mobile phone, high pressure, no weekends and say yes to a mindful occupation that turns old stuff into new, serves the local economy and moreover, myself. After a breast cancer scare I re-evaluated my life and didn’t want to carry on to feel chased and stressed. I cannot wait to start this calmer way of life. I know I will be a better mum and wife soon. Xx

I’m a teacher and I say no to staying hours late and forcing myself to go above and beyond everyday. I’ve learned that I deserve a break

I’m saying “no” to being burdened by stuff, and “yes” to decluttering!!
  • Im saying no to comparing my life to others. I love the saying. "Don't compare yourself to others. There's no comparison between the sun and the moon. They shine when it's their time."
  • @madams6891
I'm saying NO to feeling as if I need to defend myself to people who try and provoke negative responses from me. It's amazing how freeing it is to just smile and walk away.
  • I just turned 68 and thanks to all you lovely young ladies who have such insight and wisdom here on YouTube, I am learning to say NO to all the stuff! And yes to the healthy habits, what I put in and on my body as well as my brain. I am loving your channel and now I’m heading over to check out your friends channel that you suggested. 🥰

I’m saying no to mom guilt! as a new mama to a 4.5 month old (hitting that dreaded regression as we speak) I’m refusing to compare. God gave me this baby bc he knows I’m the best mama for her. Also, Your channel makes health/healthy living feel actually achievable! So, thank you! (Sam is my husband, I’m Sarah haha).

I’m saying no to worry! The temptation to worry about every 👏🏻 stinking 👏🏻 thing 👏🏻 is always lurking! We are expecting our first baby and I’m experiencing a new level of needing to say no to worry and taking all of those thoughts captive and bringing them to the Lord! Thank you so much for sharing, Margaret! ❤️
  • Such a great video idea!! I started saying no to chick flick/romance movies about eight years ago when I got engaged. I have never watched much television to begin with but I found that those movies filled my head with unrealistic expectations of my spouse and fed me full of discontentment. Anything that makes me feel that way is not allowed in my home! So thankful I made that choice!
  • I’m saying no to perfectionism, having 5 kids and wanting to have this picture perfect home is driving me insane, I don’t want to miss out on the little moments!
  • @leek7987
Good information to think on. I am saying no to worry. Each time I begin to worry about my child, the state of the world, health... anything, I remind myself that worry is a sin. I ask for forgiveness and strength to be strong in my faith.
  • @africasun
This was awesome! I’m saying NO to always saying “sorry”, when it’s not my fault or I’m actually protecting my boundaries which I’m not sorry about but then say sorry to make others feel comfortable! Nope nope done! 🤗
  • @ever4313
I am saying No to consuming too much media. It stresses me out and gives me anxiety, with everything that's going on in this world. I really enjoy your videos. They are so calm and intentional.... My new favorite YouTuber!
  • A long time ago I started saying no to the need to “have an opinion” on everything! Loved your tips , thanks for sharing them with us.
  • @patfume23
I'm saying NO to complaining and explaining myself to people 💜💓
  • @MessyTessie
I'm saying no to expecting myself to get everything done! I am a new mom to a 5 month old and some days I feel really productive but most days I can only get a few things done other than caring for my son. I don't want to be a stressed out mom, but a patient, loving mom who smiles and enjoys the little moments. ♥
  • @arellasat
I proudly say “no” when people tell me to stop letting my kids sleep in my bed. They’re only little once, and I love the snuggles. In therapy, I spend a lot of time working on being okay with living without constant extreme stimulation. It all stems back to my childhood where my environment was chaotic and unstable so that’s been my “norm”. I’ve started implementing a more minimalist lifestyle after watching your videos and it helps really set up my soul to be better grounded. It’s such a new positive thing.
  • I started saying no to stuff 10 years ago when I left my home in PA to help take care of my grandsons in GA, while their parents worked.. I would go home in the summer and declutter every year. Now my 3 grandsons are all in school and my home is wonderfully decluttered. I also have stopped buying stuff thoughtlessly. Thank you for giving me so many good ideas.
