The humans, I think, knew they were doomed. Where another race would surrender to despair, the humans fought back with greater strength. They made the Minbari fight for every inch of space. In my life, I have never seen anything like it; They would weep, they would pray, they would say goodbye to their loved ones, and then throw themselves without fear or hesitation at the very face of death itself, never surrendering. No one who saw them fighting against the inevitable could help but be moved to tears by their courage. Their stubborn nobility. When they ran out of ships, they used guns, when they ran out guns they used knives and sticks and bare hands. They were magnificent. I only hope that when it is my time, I may die with half as much dignity as I saw in their eyes in the end. They did this for two years they never ran out of courage but in the end, they ran out of time. Londo Mollari

This show is the Lord of the Rings of science fiction. It really has never had the critical recognition it should have.

Once again, a masterpiece. Those graphics on the ships and the zoom out to tactical is perfect

To call it a "war" gives humanity too much credit. It was an unabashed slaughter with the Minbari wiping out everything in their path, losing no ships with the exception of the Blackstar, and only ending because the Minbari stayed their hand at the final moment

B5 was one of the greatest epic science fiction programs ever. The storyline was basically a full 5 years long. Some episodes stood alone, but overall, everything fit togther. I don't think anyone could make another series like this one.
  • "No greater sacrifice has ever been asked of a people, but I ask you now... To step forward one last time... One last battle... To hold the line against the night." My favorite scene in my favorite show, ever.

Ah, yes. The Minibar War. I always found it funny how personally the Minbari took Sheridan destroying one of their ships. They mopped the floor with the humans everywhere else, but their one defeat deserved decades of anger against the guy who pulled it off? Did they forget it was a war?

In case any of the B5 fans on this page were unaware of it. We just had a Brand New Animated B5 movie released on August 14th. A project led by JMS himself and including the voice talents of the surviving cast members plus a few voice actors. A 30th Anniversary Tribute. Called Babylon 5: The Road Home.

I never saw Babylon 5 until i saw it was on Tubi, and started watching it 3 weeks ago. Last night I made it halfway through season 3. I'm really loving the series so far. I actually like it as much, if not more than Star Trek.

The Season 3 Episode "War without End Part 1 & II" explains why Sinclair is so special and how events might of played out otherwise.

As a long-time Babylon 5 fan, this is a story I'm very familiar with, but the production, the CGI, the narration in this video made it a pleasure to revisit once again. Fantastic job!

20,000 Ships were at "the battle of the Line" but only 200 survived....We came this close to "Lights out".

Really loved this video, very well made. Brought tears to my eyes seeing the memorial tribute at the end, so many of the cast have gone beyond the rim.
