Resident Evil 4 (2023)

- Professional: the highest difficulty in the game.
- New Game: fresh new game
- No extra content/DLC items
- No charms
- No Damage: no damage will be taken. You will see on every chapter "Times Damaged: 0" as statistic. There are many interactions that do not deal damage like Krauser's grab attack (3:13:28) if you manage to do the QTE fast enough. I believe Ashley didn't get hit either in this run (even though the game itself doesn't count it as damage).
- No Save: the entire run in a single segment with no retries.
- No Rocket Launcher: no merchant Rocket Launchers will be used. The only time a rocket launcher will be used is with Ada's special rocket launcher which has to be used to defeat Saddler's scripted sequence.
- No Body Armor: the body armor won't be used (it can prevent damage from specific attacks)
- No accessories for Leon/Ashley (shown after the completed run).
- S+ rank : the game is completed under 5h 30min.
- PC version, 60 FPS, played with controller.

"Strength is... " - Jack Krauser's last words (4:23:17) 😆 Here's a compilation of the failed attempts: https://youtu.be/xUKADn_FuGw Bosses/Minibosses: - Del Lago (0:37:56) - El Gigante (0:59:58) - Bella Sisters (1:20:53) - Chief Mendez (1:25:38) - Garrador (1:37:11) - Double Garradors (2:40:27) - Verdugo (2:49:01) - Double El Gigante (2:57:30) - Krauser (Knife Fight) (3:12:14) - Salazar (3:26:13) - Krauser 2 (4:17:10) - Mutated Krauser (4:22:55) - Saddler (4:59:00) Some unique methods I discovered: - Setup for suplex/knife executions on Ganados: 0:08:13 / 0:02:25 / 0:17:44 / 0:45:17 . Go for a focus shot at their torso as they are sprinting (they need to be in the middle of the sprinting animation, not on the startup frames and they need to be sprinting forward without turning left/right), that will cause a pushback animation. The next hit at their leg/head will be a consistent stagger (even a knife slash). With that trick, you can get close enough to the Ganado to be able to perform a suplex (guaranteed kill) or knife execution from the back (consumes less durability than the one from tripping). - Using red barrels as distraction during stealth sequences: When you shoot a red barrel, all the enemies that are not aware of you will start walking to the spot where the barrel exploded. In the dynamite valley I use this trick (0:15:08) to group the initial wave of enemies to then kill everyone with a single grenade (that will detonate the dynamite Ganado as well and cause a double explosion guaranteed to kill everyone) without being detected. That prevents a lot of extra enemies from spawning. In the fish farm (0:35:35), I use a barrel to trigger last known position for all enemies on the way back (if I don't shoot the barrel, some enemies will try to investigate the last shot I performed). In this encounter (3:38:54), you can use the barrel to force two shield enemies and another Ganado to investigate it and get the drop on them. - Overall, I decided to use a lot of stealth in the run. I know some of the methods can be a little time consuming but they look cleaner and more engaging with the systems than just running past or "clearing all the enemies from a safe spot" kind of strategy. It also gives me more of a motivation to use the bolt thrower. There is a little bit of everything in this run: stealth, running past, and clearing all the enemies. This route is mainly designed around two main weapons in mind when it comes to exclusive upgrades: - Bolt Action Rifle: this rifle is easily one of the best weapons in the game if you get the exclusive upgrade (2x power). Keep in mind though that this weapon is only extremely powerful when hitting weak points since it gets 3x power, otherwise it isn't too powerful. When fully upgraded with the exclusive, you will deal roughly 5 x 2 x 3 which is around 30 base damage, something close to a magnum's power stat. That combined with its accurate aiming and how rifle bullets are the cheapest ones to make (in terms of the gunpowder) while having a good crafting efficiency (7 bullets per craft) makes this the most important/versatile weapon in the run in my opinion. It is used to trivialize several regular enemy encounters and also some boss fights. Honestly, this was an interesting choice from the developers since this weapon used to be pretty pointless in the original game (I myself never got this rifle since the entire village never needed a rifle and the semi automatic one in the castle felt much superior) and it's not very obvious that this weapon is actually extremely useful due to the subtle triple damage boost design. - Broken Butterfly: the broken butterfly makes a huge difference when fighting Verdugo and it is a great help for Saddler's boss fight. With the exclusive upgrade, it's the only NG weapon as far as I'm aware that will consistently one-shot each of Saddler's eyeballs (the rifle and the Killer7 will randomly do that depending on critical shot chance). Its huge problem is that its reticle is very inaccurate but you can certainly work around it using focus shots in circumstances you need it. Since I don't intend to fully upgrade it early on, I opt to use the ticket for this weapon and manually fully upgrade the bolt action rifle (since it's the weapon I'll be using the most). I would like to try other weapon/upgrade choices later in another run

3:52:12 That clutch parry this deep into the run, you must have nerves of steel mate :o
  • @HypedPhantom
Jesus Christ! I can only imagine how much practice you put into these strategies. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to restart a run because of rng at the cabin siege. GGWP!
  • holyyyyyy that was insanely great gameplay! you are the first person who had done NO SAVE NO DAMAGE S+ PRO re4r I have ever seen. The strats, inventory managements, glitchless gameplay are just mindblowing. you derserve more subscribers dude. Well done!

This isn't a Professional Walkthrough; this is THE Professional Walkthrough. Good work on this, simply amazing.
  • @iamkazuki830
Your Resident Evil gameplays are always the best! Definitely I gonna use this video when I get my platinum. ❤
  • @Tooldruid
This is the smoothest, most professional "professional" run of RE4 I've ever seen. You sir, are truly a skilled video gamer. And your knowledge of the game is so darn impressive. I feel like THIS IS how it's supposed to be played. The way you played the dynamite valley area was just a chefs kiss. All the little things, where to throw bombs, the placement to get stealth kills. I noticed how much you kill w the knife and via stealth and it's blown my mind. You've inspired me to up my game! Thank you for this video!!
  • @JohnHerron-bq6zw
Man I just don't see how you can beat these RE Evil games like you do you really know what you doing
  • @KingExplorer107
Wow. You have to be very intelligent and just straight up skilled to pull this off. Superb gameplay. A lot of these strats blew my mind. I wouldn't have even thought of them. Very entertaining and satisfying to watch. Knowing the level of BS this game on professional can throw at you and you figured out a way through it with no damage, saves and no rocket launcher on saddler is truly impressive. Great Job Aether.
  • @HerrNandeZ
Thanks for doing this. Waited for it long, but I know it will be worth it.
  • @davebertaud
Just finished my S+ rank and all I can say is that you are wizard, sir. What an impressive run.
  • @yq234
Absolutely beautiful run! The run itself is a great achievement no doubt, but it also provides some of the best strats to tackle tough sections. Salute good Sir 😊
  • @Carlos-ot7he
I think I'll use your video as a guide for S+. Amazing video as always.
