I'm not diagnosing anyone in this video, I'm just speculating that this particular passing perturbed Dr. Grande on a personal level.
  • @dansfishing
Dr. Grande is no doubt a master of deadpan as well.
  • "Comedy is a coping mechanism...". So true. Rest in peace, Bob Newhart. Thanks, Dr. Grande.
  • This was a beautiful tribute to a comedy legend, thank you, Dr. Grande. RIP Bob Newhart, you’ll be missed 🙏😢❤️
  • @SetiSupreme
Damn. He was great. But he made it to the age of 94, guy had a more than full life ❤
  • @Hey___you
Bob and Emily Hartly were like surrogate parents for me.

Even as a child in the 7Os I enjoyed Bob's sitcom. His second one Newhart got me through loneliness and depression in my 20s. He was an original and class act. Thanks for honoring him Dr G . RIP Bob ♥️🙏🌄🌈🕊️
  • For me, I remember Bob Newhart playing one of Disney's most underrated heroes, being Bernard, with his costar Eva Gabor as Bianca from The Rescuers and the sequel, and overlooked movie of the Disney Renaissance, The Rescuers Down Under. Bob and Eva did a really good job playing the titular Rescuers, demonstrating how despite that they are mice, they still focused on their goals of saving kidnapped kids and despite the obvious dangers they faced as tiny animals, they didn't care as they made sure those poor kids are safe and free from their captors, making them commendable characters for their courage, determination, selflessness and heroism. RIP Bob Newhart, and thanks for giving us childhood memories that taught us the power of heroism, no matter how small you are.

He did that great sketch as a Psychiatrist where he told the patient : ‘just stop it’ 🙂😄😂
  • @sk8rmouse404
Elf and The Rescuers will always be his most iconic films. RIP to a legend 🕊🙏🏽

My brother, now 74, bought The Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart. He and I, now 70, practically memorized his routines from frequent playing. We were particularly proud that he's a Chicagoan. We had recently moved to Chicago from Japan. I couldn't speak English yet so depended on TV and radio. Bob Newhart was my English instructor along with Jackie Mason, Jackie Gleason, Allan Sherman, and Rod Serling. Oh... and Lucille Ball. 😊
  • Newhart was such a great comedian and entertainer. Rest in peace. Thanks for this profile, Dr. Grande!

If you look closely, around the 8:20 mark Dr Grande gets so fired up and passionate he almost makes a hand gesture.
  • @roharatube
You don't fool me. This was a heartfelt and intelligent tribute to a well deserving artist whom we lost. Not an "analysis." I applaud it. Well done sir! I join you in saluting Bob Newhart. A man who gave us ages of joy, however dark it may have been.
  • When British people on YouTube imply that Americans can't do or "get" dry humor, I just mention Bob Newhart to them.

My mom, God rest her soul might have been one of Bob Newharts biggest fans...I'm 63 and grew up watching him...Although I didnt totally appreciate his sense of humor until I was much older, the love and admiration was definitely passed down to me...His humor was so unique and I loved his guest appearances on TBBT...He was soooo good on that show...He was a legend and will be greatly missed... RIP Mr. Newhart and thank you for a lifetime of laughter 🥰🫶❤️🙏🙏🙏

Bob Newhart an American gem! The poor standard of education in past 40 years in USA has resulted in the cancel culture and attacks on comedy, parody and irony.
  • @FleagleSangria
Love Bob Newhart. Now we know who Dr Grande watched as a kid. And now I guess I know one of the reasons I enjoy this channel!
  • Dr Grande: YOU are Bob's "mini-me"-----Thanks for your comments on an American comedy master.
