James Last and his Orchestra was one of my father's favourite. Our DVD of one his concert got worn out because he would always watch it a year before my father passed. It is just today that I have a video of James Last because it would remind me of my father. Rest is peace and danke Hansi and my father.

Where have the Great Orchestras of yesteryears gone. Iam 67, I feel sad. Thank God their music is still alive . Reminds me of my school days, great memories!

PS: Wenn man die Musiker/innen auf der Bühne sieht, dann erlebt man PUREN SPAß mit ihnen. Wenn man den Holländer mit seiner Truppe sieht ............ dann .......... weiß man erst´, was die James Last Band/Truppe ausmacht. AUTHENTIZITÄT und PURE FREUDE AN DER MUSIK!

Ow woow I love this so much. Im from 1971 so when my parents had a party, this kind of music was played and we all loved it!! Annd my parents partied a lot!! So glad I got to know Mr James Last and his Orchestra. He left a truly great ensemble and reaches milions with his great work. My 12 year old son loves this one as well, just as he lovees Biscaya too. Im proud to be the middleman in passing through our good taste in music.

Every time I turn on my pc, I MUST hear THIS recording of Orange Blossom Special! There are many others, but NONE like James Last!!!

I travelled from the UK to Zwickau in Germany some years ago to work on one of James's shows just like this. I had an absolutely fantastic time, and was amazed to see so many coaches from the UK filled with people who had come to Germany specifically to see James and his team in Concert. His sad passing was a great loss to the world of live entertainment. He was a true Gentleman of Music. R.I.P James.

What's REALLY amazing is how the performers hardly change .... from as early as 2000 to when they finally disbanded after Last's demise. No one stays in an ensemble that long unless they really love being there.

No one can put on a good show like James Last does.. He spotlights not just his band but the audience as well. At 81 he still rocks.
