I am in Idaho and I completely disagree with trial not being accessible to us. We have a right to see justice in action. What are they hiding?
  • @Carolinec222
I’d be so mad if I couldn’t watch the trial for Lori vallow. Our taxes are paying for this! 😡
  • @Dominique_99
One of the main issues is the family wants trial streamed so they can watch it. They have even asked people to write to judge to ask for it be streamed because he isn’t listening to them. They can’t attend the trial every day (this is the grand parents you can find them online talking about it) and they are quite distressed about the matter. So regardless of how anyone else feels about the matter the victims families need to be taken into account in this matter and I don’t think they have been especially when you are charging for the audio as well. This means they will have to either spend large amounts of money leaving their jobs for weeks at a time and staying in hotels to attend the court case when they have already spent huge amounts trying to find out what happened to the kids and they may not be able to afford that. And if any of them have health issues are expected to sit in a court room for 6 to 8 hours every day. It’s just not reasonable. The judge needs to take these matters into consideration. Especially when the family has been so specific around them. It’s not about just about “the rubber neckers “ but also what’s in the best interest of the family not what’s in the best interest of alleged perpetrators.
  • The pros of televising a high profile trial definitely outweigh the cons. The public has a right to see the justice system at work.

People are allowed to have different OPINIONS..that's how life works.. I would rather someone express their opinion even if it differs from mine than have them agree with me when they really don't. Transparency and honesty goes a long way. I really enjoyed this discussion..love Joel, Fil, and Scott!!!
  • @overtcovert
I'm in Idaho and this is making me ill. I appreciate you so much! I live close to where the Vallow lived. The Judge is Mormon and he is attempting to protect that Cult!

Another Great show Joel!! I love that you are doing this with your wife's help and your mom!! That shows what kind of guy you are!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I first found this show from following the Kohberger Case (I grew up in Montana, not too far from there.) I wasn't sure if I would keep watching b/c I can't watch every show on a subject that interests me. But I have kept coming back because you do get the best guests!  And I have enjoyed your Murdaugh coverage, Vallow - Daybell coverage (as you know), and now I'm listening to your Dan Markel coverage - even listening to old episodes to learn about this case, and the Ellen Greenberg Case is very sad and I'm so glad you are covering it! No way was that suicide! The power of the press is real! Keep up the great work!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
  • @mshockey73
Great show guys! Subscribed. Phil is right on the money about the Daybells. Looking forward to 'listening' to the trial. Let's get justice for Tylee, JJ, Tammy and Charles.

Please don’t bring personal politics, even side comments, in. I’d love this to be a politics free space if at all possible.
  • @smoocher
Always the best guests and the best discussions!
  • @Louise-gg4mf
Joel, you’re doing a fantastic job! You’re right, your guests are superb. The coverage of the Murdaugh was the best of all. I am a Patreon and didn’t know if I could make a request or where to poste it. When you have a split screen of your guests, could Karm be in one of the “boxes”? Try it once maybe? Of course she could share when it’s her turn. I miss her as she adds a unique focus, maybe because of her life experience, I don’t know. However, just an idea. I trust you know what is best.
  • @Kelbel30
I think you found the perfect cohosts in Fil and Scott. They both have great and unique insight. Do they also read all of his letters that go in and out of the jail? Oh btw Joel thanks for not mentioning the specific news station and host. People are getting views just from complaining about how she is acting while they play snippets of her show. I am sooooooooo over it. I appreciate you!
  • @Malibusurfsup
Ah the perfect combo of soothing voice and Fil. Love these 2 and u too STS
  • What do I have to do to be in Fil's Sunday school class? That would be awesome! This guy speaks TRUTH!
  • Great show once again. I agree that trials should not become human spectacles but it’s disrespectful when family members and news agencies are not given reserved spots. The Depp trial turned into a circus with alpacas outside and even during the Murdaugh trial, those in attendance didn’t stop laughing when the judge gave strict instructions not to do so. I don’t want to watch the whole trial, who has time to, but I want to be able to rely on excellent honest coverage and commentary. This judge obviously needs to lighten up. They seem to have a lot to hide. The prosecution has made a mess of the discovery. Absolutely shameful.

Thank you, Scott! You have such an easy going personality along with so much intelligence. Thank you for allowing us to disagree and for not calling us names. Please come back. Enjoy all your commentary.
  • Sorry i missed the live. Happy St Patrick's Day Scott Fil & Joel love from Ireland 🇮🇪 💚☘️☘️☘️X
  • As a secularist and former jew, listening to the proselytizing from "Hawaiian shirt guy" is a real turn-off
