I finished the demo yesterday and I was not prepared for just how much it blew me away, I haven't been this excited for a game in a long time and I can't wait for it to come out, thank you guys for keeping us up to date, much love

The demo was excellent. The characters and story are shaping up to be something special. Combat was smooth and fun. Can’t wait to play more.

I'll always prefer 30-40 hour games that'll keep me coming back instead of 100+ hour games that tire me so much I'll never want to touch 'em ever again.
  • Played the demo about two hours ago. Instant preorder. Can’t wait to see the story unfold. Definitely had that older final fantasy 7/8/9 feel to it with Devil May Cry combat on top. Hearing it opens up and becomes more robust has me very excited to dive in. The more mature tone is a welcome pace when compared to other titles in the series and I’m here for it. The Eikon battles were breath taking. I’m glad I waited until closer to release to give the demo a go.

The demo was EVERYTHING. I’ve been pumped for this game especially with soken doing the music and yoshi p producing, but that demo absolutely settled it, this game is a big deal!
  • My favorite part about the abilities is that you can refund them. So if you get cooler looking abilities or dont use the ones you have, you can remove them and put your points into different ones. Definitely a plus and will make the game far more entertaining.
  • I was so relieved when I heard it isn’t open world. The semi-open nature of it is what excites me, open worlds have gone way too far and there are way too many of them, I feel like this should be the way forward
  • Despite the obvious combat changes, the series really did go back to its original roots with this game. Crystals, medieval intrigue, linear character-driven narratives in vast and lore-rich areas but also tons of optional sidecontent for people who want to see more. This game sounds like it could easily have come out the 2000s FF era or even the 90s in terms of mentality and that's a good thing!
  • I saw that it wasn't open world and I got excited. I then saw it took around 70 hours to 100% and I screamed. I love me some big open world long ass games but man every game is so big these days and there's just not enough time. It's refreshing to see this game have a pretty decent run time without a ton of bloat that's trying to steal your attention away for the next 2 years

I played the demo, the ending had me in shocked and in tears😭😭 i really feel for clive man
  • So the first few hours of the game really pulled me in and I absolutely love the asthetic and characters, Yoshida's mark is all over this and i am 100% here for it, I spent a couple of hours in the bonus combat scenario just to get a feel for how the game works and yeah.. ff9 and ff7 have been sitting in my top list for 20 years.. but ff16 has the serious potential to dethrone.

I just know that i'm buying it day one because I really loved the demo, the series is going back to medieval setting again, the combat is really fun and the story set up is really intriguing (i can't wait to get my hands on the full game on the 22nd June :)
  • This is the most excited I’ve been for a game in a long LONG time. The demo was perfect and I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds when it’s finally released.
  • I will honestly say that this game wasn’t on my radar until the demo dropped. Everything about it has this fantastic old school story driven element to it. The voice acting was wonderful and the fact that I was so deeply invested into the characters after a quick two hours of gameplay was not what I expected. I can’t wait for this game to drop on the 22nd.
  • This year has been insane for game releases, i played the demo and honestly im just so hungry for more! The story is sooo much better than 15's and i cant believe how mature they went with it! But it still feels like an ff game, im blown away

Truly a demo that cannot be skipped on. Just wow….. totally different than just those trailers. The quality is top tier
  • Great coverage! I am a long time FF fan but was apprehensive about the combat. The demo alleviated all my fears - it was so much fun to play. They did a spectacular job of getting us invested in the characters and gameplay. Such a strong opening!
  • What good to note about the Demo is that its not only contain beginning of the game . After you finish that few fist chapters(which data will be tnasfered to full game) you unlock second demo that allow you to play later on scenario to try out more advanced gameplay. Incredible stuff, and its fee

Finished the demo yesterday, the only awkward bit was the target lock. Felt very unnatural and ended up ditching the use of it entirely - unless isolating a target or boss fight. And for those who don't know, pressing in the right thumbstick will switch targets when locked on. Otherwise, lots of jaw dropping moments and the music.... goosebumps confirmed!
