Man, the way Leo reacts to seeing April almost takes some nods to the 2012 series and how Donnie reacts when he sees April there.

Realistically, their meltdown (for everyone except Raph that is) is honestly understandable. They really haven't been in a fight before and while they are well trained and have sparred with each other and no doubt their father, actually being in the moment is still shaking. Of course, they still recovered quickly and handled it well but I still like how they just freaked out at the start of it.

3:19 - Nicolas Cantu's "OH MY GOD!!" at Leo seeing Raph's sai jabbing into Donnie's leg was SO well done!

I love Mikey's quick thinking asking April if she'd wanna talk about the guys over pizza as well as the reactions they all had when April is down for it when she goes "...How do you guys feel about pepperoni?".

"Maybe they'll see the humanity in our tragic backstory." "MURDER THE SHREKS!!" "They don't see it! They don't see it!"

This is PEAK TMNT, the humor, the personalities of the brothers, the fighting scenes, goofy nature of the turtles, everything about this movie is so good

"He's Tokyo Drifting around us" Seth must've known someone would take that out of context

“He’s Tokyo Drifting around us!” I freaking love this movie 😂😂
  • Legitimately one of the coolest fight sequences in animation. All of the fights in this movie were fantastic, I just wish there was more of them!

I LOVE THIS. The comic book aesthetic, the choreography, the character interactions. YESSSSSS!!!
  • "All I got is a big stick" Dude, is a Bo! And Raph isn't even angry, he is excited!
  • 5:34 This is a small moment, but I love Leo standing the scooter up straight and dusting it off for her. He’s so sweet:)

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SCENE! The crazy amount of characterization in it. It's so hectic and the turtles are giving it their all nonstop, thinking quick on the spot. The flashes of delight at their own genius, as they find their instincts from training are actually good enough to carry them through. I love their little wins. The gang members are also authentically human, the fight never feels like it's in anyone's control. Everyone's just improvising like crazy and having realistic reactions & fumbles. Leo getting distracted micromanaging is so endearing. This is where they find their confidence for that ballsy attitude in the montage later. It's so rewarding on every level! I was whisper-screaming "FUCK EM UP!!" in the theater.
