I think watching the video greatly enhances this song, Romany's face carries such energy through this song, truly supporting the lyrics sometimes in more ways than the vocals. She can be an actress easily. Beautiful song, nice understated guitar solo, and interesting with both of the songs released from this album, the guitar solos seem to be cut short somewhat, well David is touring later this tear and both of those songs will have enhanced solos,; no doubt.
  • It's part of her progression as an artist she has a natural singing voice from doing a duet single with her dad in yes I have ghost to more duets covering Leonard Cohen and other material during the lockdown von trapped series doing songs like fingertips which is upbeat mood wise proving everything sung by her is not all melancholy like this song and will most likely as the years go on be experimental like her dad and could end up doing other duets in the future with a number of different singers and currently getting a lot of positive comments/feedback on this her solo singing debut which says a lot when she's going to get a lot of comparisons to her dad as a talent like all children of well acclaimed artists

I love it. I especially love Romany’s vocals. But it’s because I want David’s legacy to live on. On its own, without that context, no it doesn’t measure up. David could fart into a talk box for an hour and I’ll listen and love it. But I get how that’s not how music should be objectively reviewed, so I think you’re on point.

Seems to be B minor to A but what do you think? released in 1999, sounds retro 80's if you listen to the original that is.

I`ve never understood why he selected this song. It`s just so meaningless. It`s supposed to be a David Gilmour album. People are going to pay 40 pounds to get the vinyl. The first single was really promising. Your rating was right, three stars.
