Since I'm older, knowing that davy jones went through, knowing him I actually prefer him MORE than Salazar, blackbeard and Barbosa all together, but pirates was and were my childhood film, now I'm 20

I cant help but imagine that it's actually just Davy Jones singing, alone on the Flying Dutchman's deck, under the most raging of storm, with tears in his eyes while he remember a song he will never hear sang by the women he loved anymore. It's a duet sang by a forever alone man and the memory of the goddess that stole his heart.

I have to say the only thing that surprised me about this cover is that you both sang the entire song. I imagined it would be more of a back and forth between Davy Jones (Alex) and Calypso (Fialeja). 1:15 is the most powerful crescendo i have heard in a duet in ages, makes me feel empowered like I actually wanna steal a ship and become a pirate in the 1500’s

Davey Jones and his love, a beautiful duet that causes feelings of internal meloncholly, the range of emotions felt when losing someone you love so much, greif, anger, recollection, then back to greif. The first is when they leave. The second is you dealing with the aftermath, blaming everyone and everything around you, the third is you reminiscing about them, how great they were, sugar coating some of their actions, making them seem better than they really were, and the fourth is you realizing that no matter what you do, their gone. I don't know whether or not that was intentional, but I don't give a damn. Still perfect.
